"recognize"?I doubt US (or more correctly hip-hop artists and fans) would recognize this clown. He's cringy & corny by us standards. They laughed at Drake when he came out and at his lyrics "started from the bottom.." when he was from a wealthy neighborhood in to. And at least that guy was half black. Now you'll have rich Chinese kids emulating rap/gangsta culture despite their wealthy and well-privileged backgrounds. And despite Black-American always calling out culture appropriation and culture theft, deranged kpop/cpop fans will defend this idiot cashing in on their culture - I mean, Eminem actually has talent and lived integrated in black culture. This guy,on the other hand, is a rich Chinese kid from Vancouver. This guy has ZERO street cred to be emulating gangsta culture. He's just like all the other Van City kids acting hood (and not in an ironic way) despite ironically living in one of the most expensive cities in the province/rest of Canada.

A much as I actually like kpop - I do not support no-talent-Idol rappers like Kris getting more fame and recognition over real Chinese underground rappers with a talent. I'd support Zico and Rap Mon cause at least they've got talent & they'e come underground - which means it was their passion long before fame. Kris is acting and dressing black - bro, wake up you're Chinese. It's one thing to wear the clothes, it's another thing to talk like a stoned blak rapper or wear cornrows/dreds.

3xitthissid3 speaking as a black person I don't think he's "cashing out on my culture". Just because he's Chinese doesn't mean he's appropriating culture, he is appreciating culture. Hes said in many interviews he got interested in rap from watching basketball at a young age after loving rap for so long he understands hip hop culture is much deeper than music. Idk why you came to this video just to spread hate.

Idk why tbh. I liked exo and I liked Kris' new song Juice, but the more American-based promotional stuff I saw from him, the more I felt some type of way about him. I mean the guy's talking about pioneering stuff for the east and bridging the gap between the East and the West, but who is he to do that? Maybe it's because he started at SM as an idol (which is not known for hiring aspiring rapers to fill the raper role - like GD from YG or Rap Mon & Suga from Big Hit, or Zico from Brand New Stardom Entertainment/Seven Seasons - but hires someone who had no interest in becoming a rapper until the label assigned them that role) or for other reasons, he comes off fake. Have you been in Vancouver? I've lived just outside the city for 2 years. It's not even white middle class kids listening to Hip Hop and then "emulating" it and claiming they're so gangsta cause they smoke weed and listen to 2Pac. No, it's Middle Class Punjabi/Afghan,Chinese, East European,etc immigrant kids claiming hip hop culture (including the slang and attire but *not* the reality of black kids living in poverty and crime-ridden Black American neighborhoods hip hop has originated from). It's cringy and corny, and Kris is one of those kids. He's just an idiot trying to look cool without actual proper street cred. If he used rap as an outlet to tell his personal stories (kinda like white kid Eminem rapped about his mother and ex-wife Kim) rather than fronting about a culture he has NO relation to, maybe I'd respect him more. If he's thinking of entering the American market he/the fans should realize he's a phony in comparison to the American artists. And now that he's making gangsta culture cool in China, we'll soon start seeing Middle & upper class Chinese kids emulating the degenerate aspects of gangsta culture (glamorization of pimps & hoes, gun violence, drugs, etc.)
