His HAHO analogy of how your soul and your body get separated if you don't pack the parachute to open smoothly, had me in stitches. Foreign SOF officers appear kinda cooler than they way enlisted SOF always talk down on their Captains and officer CoC. This guy looks like he was the business and could do the same and even more what any of his enlisted subordinates did while downrange. You guys definitely hit us with a cliffhanger there by cut the video in a Part II

about weapon, you can own a gun in Europe, it's only highly regulated! Bevor buying a gun you need a background check and that's it, but, you can't carry a gun, at home you need to close it in a wardrobe, you can't have it in the car when you don't visit a shooting range etc. That's the difference, but I have to say i'm ok with that, in Swiss we have a lot of gun, but nevertheless, shootout is extremely rare and nobody is afraid of being robbed with a gun.

but I agree with him, as a 0815 guy, who is interessted in our conversation? Assange was a danger for high ranking people with the publication of leaks, but we, even if I would use drugs, as long I don't traffic kilo's of drugs, nobody cares.

@@Ezekiel903 Well any autocratic goverment for example. Have you seen what is happening in Russia ? Anyone who is against opression is person of interest, and they squash any opposition. And that goes for every goverment that is being bought by big corporations to push for some agenda. And this is exactly what is happening here in the Balkans right now. Two weeks ago the state security literally arrested some farmers while spying their phones so they found "evidence" something he wrote in the humorous manner to another farmer. And if you think there are no dictators-wanna-be's in democratic goverments, you are sadly mistaken.

People need to understand that training is about repetition and experience. Most other countries SF are not used all over the world. The U.S. has bases everywhere and are involved everywhere. The U.S. uses their SF everywhere. I'm sure for the ones dishing the Italian SF in the comments, understood this, they wouldn't be making jokes about them. Remember the U.S. is a war machine. I prefer Italy

To be fair and honest, people don't know that Italy is the second most involved country in missions abroad all over the world for the UN, EU and obviously NATO. People don't even know we have SF. And that's actually a good sign. Everyone knows about the Seals, Delta, Force Recon etc... But none can say even the name of our SF. Nor where they are involved. To give you an example, the last two officially deployments we Italians are allowed to know was in Afghanistan and then in Ukraine, to train the Ukraine soldiers. It's almost a waste but we all knows that wasn't their true purpose in Ukraine.

I'm Italian and I do not particularly like this guy attitude. Probably a fascist nostalgic like many in nowadays Italian military. Having said that, I do not agree with the disrespectful comments find below. Italian special forces were actually very successful in WWII. Frogmen of the Italian navy with their innovative and ingenious equipment were able to conduct several successful raids. One for all the raid against the British navy (raid on Alexandria) on 19th December 1941where two battleships were heavily damaged .

I haven't watched it yet but i can see Italian military having a hubris from their great, ancient history. I, too, am deeply insulted when Italians are mocked, militarily or otherwise.

In Afghanistan the Italian 9th Paratrooper was dispatched under the name of "Task Force 45" an Elìte, ghosted and still today unrecognized SF under the direct command of the Italian secret service and the us-jsoc. Where there was the principal assault force of the us-jsoc under the codename "Condor-A". The secondary assault force (so the reserve) was the British SAS, codename "Condor-B". You know nothing kiddo.

@@Happy-wb8gi You know the history of military and special forces mate, i am appalled. Not many outside the Special Forces inner circle study a little bit and are aware that the first special force in modern era were the italians: The first operational units date back to the initial phases of the First World War, when the Venetian shipyard SVAN (acronym for Società Veneziana Automobili Navali) supplied the Royal Navy with its first special vehicles called MAS, acronym for Motobarca Armata SVAN. The first two units, MAS 1 and MAS 2, were completed in June 1915 but the "1ª Flottiglia MAS" was officially created April 23th 1939. So yes, the very first frogmen were italian navy and it's a common mistake not to give credit to italians navy corp on that. Even today COMSUBIN (heritage of X^MAS) are considered the best of the best but they are more willing to stay in the shadow and let the world think SAS (which are more or less at the same level and that's why you see a lot of them around La Spezia, because brits are willing to train with someone at the same level at least) are on the spotlight. Guys from Comsubin could not care less about fame or be recognized as special force. They are just proud of the legacy they carry on and to be part of the same Navy team of literally heroes of the WW1.

When did he disrespect anyone? He clearly said it was a joke, and everyone knows that the Navy SEALs heavily utilize Hollywood...just look at Operation Red Wings. Acknowledging this doesn't mean disrespecting them, and it doesn't mean they're not great men and a great unit.
