The most important command you can teach a dog is, imo, the word "down!" where they drop instantly to their belly. My breeder made a real point of this (I had MinPins) saying it could save your dogs life if they were about to get into a dangerous situation...which my Rusty did. I turned my back for an instant one day in my yard and then saw her on the edge of the road, which was a fairly busy highway. I yelled "down" she dropped right on her belly and stayed til I ran and got her. I was never so scared in all my life, but that command saved her that day...

Love 💕 wee Leo. I think they had a great meeting. Duke will put him in his place every once in a while but that’s natural dog behaviour. As long as you keep a close eye on them as they settle into THEIR relationship I’m seeing good and lots of fun times ahead. Ps. Hannah’s walking fingers were funny. And a perfect first toy. The new puppy is just adorable. Duke is so cute and was really good with Leo for the first visit.. I had a toy poodle and he was just spoiled. He went between my house and my parents. A friend of my son's has a Pomeranian too. I think they are just the cutest dogs.
