Sometimes I think how ignorant I was in my past bcz I never respected Gandhiji, only bcz of influence of my surroundings. I grew up in the atmosphere of hate towards Gandhi ji but when I went to Delhi for my graduation then I read about him extensively. He was not a perfect man, but common man like most of us, but had a very robust understanding of Indian society and it's soul. I don't like his views on varna system,caste system, menstruation or vaccination but I also believe that he was the man who has given the feeling of oneness for India. Whatever degree of democracy we have this man played a vital role to instill that democracy on us. The present congress party is the illegitimate successor of that soul.They don't even try to defend Gandhiji when people deliberately insult him, it very pathetic. I also urge all Ambedkarite to read about him, he was not perfect.You can criticise him, but he is not a person for hate.
