Remember when you were a kid and there would have been an old house full of cats with an old lady living either alone or with a "companion". Missy is a younger version of that strange old lady that our youthful memories conjures up. Sweet but strangely terrifying.

I love Missy. As a forty-something woman,I love that she's attractive but not hyper-sexualized and has a little bit of nuance. She has the insanity of Simm but retains some of the classiness of the original.

With the Doctor I'm certainly can't say who is the best, I mean that's impossible. But Roger Delgado is definitely the best Master. Although I would give Michelle the second place, she is brilliant, sassy, mad, a very accurate female version of the Master himself.

After seeing season 8 on Netflix, all I can say is that I was really disappointed in the show. Pointless stories, boring characters and confusing plot points seem to be the new norm. The wacky adventures of the Doctor isn't appealing.

Series 8 was a bit of a jumble, but I think that's because it was a new Doctor and a new tone for the show, so the writing didn't quite play to the strengths of Capaldi's Doctor (but Doctors' first seasons are often quite ropy) Hopefully Series 9 will get that tone a bit more, but if it isn't for you, then each to their own. :)

In some small scenes, yes, but there were no dumb and pointless episodes like Let's Kill Hitler, Dinosaurs on a Spaceship and Kill the Moon where the premise was mildly amusing, but again, there was no story to keep people interested. This is not Matt Smith's or Peter Capaldi's fault, but the fault of the writers and the producer. I think they've run out of ideas. In my opinion, the first five seasons of rebooted Doctor Who was great, but the show has run out of ideas, like all good shows that are in production for too long.

I agree -- though IMHO Moffat has slightly "dumbed down" certain things in Doctor Who while retaining the darkness of tone. It's really unfortunate that they don't pay more attention to their adult fans (since retention of current members is a LOT easier than bringing in new ones).

Season 8 i support her UNTIL THE FINALE... And her Characterisation and Overacting in Season 9 was a Let Down and made me realise why i prefer John Simm so much more as THE MASTER!.. sorry but John Simm was a better Master in MY OPINION.

Missy is a favorite amongst fans? I haven't seen much overwhelming praise for her. Maybe I'm just looking in the wrong place. I like her more than Simm but Delgado and Ainley are infinitely superior.
