She has turned out beautiful and yes a much nicer face too. What a lovely doll she is.

Thank you Marna!! I need to remember to use the putty eraser on Blythe , it should help with defining the eyebrows in pastel before going in with pencils! I’m so happy with how she came out, thank you!! 🤩

She is beautiful especially after your face ups and body blushing, I agree that the face you used is nicer than the one she came with, love her hair and name too - looking forward to your clothing 🥰

Thank you Jay! Yes, I think the extra head I bought had a much gentler expression, suits her well 💕

The practise head looked really good (and SO much better) once you'd given her a face up but when you put her on the body the proportions of the face just seemed wrong somehow so I definitely think you made the right decision to go with the other head. She looked so lovely after you'd finished her and those hands were just amazing!
@BethRamsden3 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much! Yes you’re absolutely right, there does seem to be a proportion issue with that head, I wonder if it’s supposed to be on a different body originally? I’m so happy with her other head though, and I had such fun with the hands too! 😄 Thanks so much for watching!

Great video, Beth! I was wondering, did you give her body a layer of matte paint before shading too? Love from Malaysia 💕
@BethRamsden3 жыл бұрын
Thanks so much!! Yes I did spray her body well with the same matt varnish as I used on the face. It seems to sit perfectly on the vinyl (though this is my first time trying it!) and I used it again once I'd done the blushing. ^_^
@bunnybearme3 жыл бұрын
@@BethRamsden thanks so much for the reply! I kept putting off shading my doll's body because I was worried that the colour would smear. I have considered applying matte paint before and after but I wasn't so sure. After reading your reply though, I think I'll give it a try. Love what you did on Moriko!
@BethRamsden3 жыл бұрын
@@bunnybearme you’re very welcome! If you’re unsure, then try it out on an inconspicuous area first, maybe the bottom of a foot? Better safe than sorry since vinyl and spray varnish can vary so much! Hope it works out, I’m so happy with how Moriko’s body looks now, it really adds life to her! 🤩

@@BethRamsden oh, that's a great tip! Thanks again 😍 I'm looking forward to more of your videos.

how do you apply the Vallejo Matt Varnish? by airbrushing or directly on the vinyl?
@BethRamsden2 жыл бұрын
The Vallejo varnish I use is fur use in the airbrush, you can drip it directly into the reservoir, it doesn't need to be diluted or anything. ^_^

Do you have a tutorial on how to remove and put on a obitsu head back on the body??
@BethRamsdenАй бұрын
Not a separate tutorial - once the peg is installed, the head can simply be pulled off and pushed back on. I'd recommend installing a neck to each separate head you have, to save having to fully un-install and re-install it each time you swap heads :)
