I'm Molly, a typical sushi, makeup, and fashion loving millennial girl who just so happens to be blind! I was diagnosed with Retinitis Pigmentosa at just 4 years old and began public speaking at age 5. I started just doing motivational speaking, but now I make videos and even model! For example, traditionally if you wanted to match a tie to a dress shirt, you would look for one of the colors in the tie to be the same as the shirt's color, but you would absolutely not want the majority of the tie to be the same color. He matches her and her room simultaneously, which is honestly even more impressive to me lol

She said how it’s easier to date a sighted guy so she has help with things like checking her makeup and getting around, so it’s been preferred in the past not that she wouldn’t. It is very sweet! I think he may possibly look directly at her so intently is because of his vision and the obvious fact that he is in LOVE with her. From what he described it sounds like he doesn’t have much or any peripheral vision so in order to see her well he may have to look directly at her. I think we can all agree seeing Molly so happy is AMAZING ❤️🥰

I actually think looks matter to a certain degree. Society always tells women not to be "shallow" and not to date based on looks, but that's just unrealistic. Men choose who they like based in part on whether they are physically attracted to the person, and so do women. There's nothing wrong with that. You shouldn't marry someone you're not physically attracted to. Part of love and marriage is physical attraction. If it's not there for one or both people, it won't work.

LyshaLabRat True, but. Disabilities are a sensetive subject because it is so personal so making sure it’s a true compliment and seen as what it’s mean is important. Not everyone is in the same place as Molly where she is working through her trauma of losing her vision and feels comfortable being so open about it. It’s not always about time when it comes to trauma so being respectful goes a long way when dealing with disabilities.

She has so many awesome videos about fashion tips and tricks so I just don’t know why it would be seen as rude to give her a compliment for something she’s known for. Don’t let anyone make you feel bad for saying “I love you” so early or moving in together after 2 months. I met my husband online and we texted for a month before meeting. The second I saw him on our first date I INSTANTLY knew I was going to marry him. I mean we made eye contact and my first thought was “I’m going to marry this man.” It’s now been 8 years we’ve been together, almost 3 years of marriage, and we are expecting our first child any day now. Things happen exactly how they are supposed to. Remember that.

Yes, I didn’t see anyone call her crazy girlfriend but it was/is definitely concerning and not healthy. I don’t think she meant any harm but definitely not healthy and displays insecure attachment. My daughter was born with coloboma in both of her eyes. She is blind in her left eye but does have Vision in her right. Her left eye is also slightly smaller. I couldn't wait for Adrian to get to the vision part in the story because I just knew. As soon as he said he had coloboma I just started bawling. As a mother you always worry about your child's future, I can't tell you how much hope this video gIves me. I wish yall both all the happiness in the world.

Adrian gives a quick synopsis of his story and diagnosis starting at 17:55 He was born with malformed eyes. One eye's retina completely detached when he was an infant. He has zero sight in that eye. His other eye's diagnosis is "Coloboma" and it shows as a key shaped hole in the iris of his eye. He has always had the same amount of vision instead of declining vision like Molly. He is legally blind, uses a cane, reads braille, e.t.c. He can see some things up close. He can see colors, shapes, people, writing if it's big enough, and he can see Molly. These have to be very, very close to his eye to be seen.

It really is up to that exact couple, I personally had this hard hitting love but the thing was he didn’t. It ended up being emotionally draining and escalted to emotionally abusive which is why me personally I’m careful. As someone who has coloboma in my right eye, I can help explain what MY vision is like! I can see light, color, and movement from it, but I wouldn’t be able to tell you what that colored, moving object is. For me, it’s not completely blind but it’s bad enough to be considered blind in that eye. That’s how my coloboma is and I’m also super curious if his is different or similar!

He already explained it a bit. He had coloboma and if you have it you’re most likely born with it like Adrian. There are different types of coloboma depending on what part of the eye didnt develop properly (dont know what he himself is missing, could be part of the iris or the retina) Another name for it is “the keyhole eye” this means that the “black” (pupil) in his eye is shaped like a key hole. What people with coloboma can see varies from person to person but he already explained a bit what it means for him. He can see all the colors and shapes etc (“almost” like a normal person even maybe) but he has no peripheral view whatsoever. To imagine what he can and cant see, look through a key hole in your door. He can see whats behind the door but only a limited field of view.

A human beaning He didn’t say what type he has so I don’t know if he can see directly infront of him or a bit more to one side 🤪 But Molly did say he can see color perfectly but only if he keeps it close to his eye. I’m not a doctor but usually when people can only see things from close they have no peripheral vision whatsoever. Usually with coloboma there is a literal blind spot where that person can’t see anything. Also he has microphtalmia in his other eye, this means that the whole eye is underdeveloped and he can’t see anything through this eye. So yes this means that his type of blindness is VERY different from Molly’s! He can see some things within his vision field with his one eye. Molly can only perceive light or the reflection of it (like sparkly things) but with both eyes (I think with both eyes but not 100% sure) she definitely can’t see any shapes or objects unless they give off a lot of light/reflection
