I went to Stockholm Pride for the first time in my life and it really was amazing. Didn't go to the Pride Park though, just watched the amazing parade. Wish I'd seen you there, Davey. I did go to another Pride parade earlier in the summer in a smaller town here in Sweden and I thought that was cool, with like 100-200 people in the parade and some more watching. The 45.000 participants in the Stockholm Pride and the half a million watching kinda blew me away.

Even if the state of things in Stockholm isn't nearly as barbaric as in the U.S.A., casual homophobia and prejudice still exist, more so in the countryside than in Stockholm. So Pride is still warranted... But all of that clearly has nothing to do with _wickydkewl_ having a fancy holiday in Europe. If they wanted to “show the world that [they] won’t be silenced”, he should partake in the Pride festivities in Kampala or in the US American South and Southeast where much more work is needed
