The Biggest attribute is been there for them.... 11 kids in my Family.... my Mom had little time for Anything except cooking, cleaning.....but seeing my Dad prayer in front of a picture of the Sacred Heart.... my Mom making sure we went out the door for Church......thanks Heather’s Mom for your insights

I feel like back then, parents didn’t need to get down and play with their kids because they were just more present by simply being in the same room but doing tasks in front of them. Now, we are so glued to our phones and overstimulated that we often can’t even hear our children speaking to us and they don’t have the opportunity to see us doing purposeful work. That’s probably part of the reason parents are pushed to be more intentional with their kids.

I am on my 4th year of saying the 7 prayers of St. Bridget. 🥰 Also I say the Rosary every day and read the Magnificat and the word among us. The hour of great mercy at 3:00. I've been a catholic since I was baptized as an infant.

Interesting your mom mentions the issue of playing with children. It is indeed a generational issue. Ours is a generation whose children are constantly supervised (not just played with). It can be tough when you have 8 children. God bless your mom.

When we get very busy, let us talk to Jesus/God as we work by inviting them in our work and other activities. The Diary of St Faustina shows Jesus encouraging her to invite him to help her in the kitchen, and Jesus showed her his presence by getting her do the things she couldn't do because of her physical feebleness. Thanks mum for sharing.

I'm afraid to take care of her and I'm concern about Martinez. I'm, I'm sure everything's gonna work out when I was a young adult. I used to do drug. SI asked the Lord for his help and I quit cold Turkey. I've been calling for 40 years and I haven't done any drugs. And I taught my children don't do drugs.Don't smoke I don't drink
