very nice! but the cage is a bit small, so I hope you can upgrade soon!! (minimum is 40x20x20 inches) I highly recommend full cheeks paper. be very careful with cracks and holes in ladders as their feet can easily get stuck and break!

Thank you for your concern, but just to clarify, the inside measurements of my cage are 35x24x24 inches. This gives my hamster a total of 20,160 cubic inches of space and 840 square inches of floor space! This is greater than the 40x20x20 inches you mentioned, which provides 16,000 cubic inches of space and 800 square inches of floor space. I’ll definitely look into the Full Cheeks bedding and other potential ramps! Thanks for the suggestion!🙂

I use Carefresh bedding, I don’t like to use Kaytee because it has a lot of dust and my last Robo developed a respiratory infection due to all the dust from the Kaytee bedding.

Personally, all of the Kaytee bedding I have used so far has been very low dust, but it sounds like you did not have the same experience. Sorry to hear about the respiratory infection in ur little guy😢 I will try Carefresh out!

I noticed that too. He didn’t have it when I brought him home, so I am thinking he bumped his nose on something while playing and it’s a small scab. I’m monitoring it and will bring him to the vet if it doesn’t seem to be healing. Just don’t want to unnecessarily stress him out with a vet trip if it is just a little scratch.

oh wow, really? I'm getting my first hamster for christmas and I've been researching and deciding for months on what's best. are there any other brands I should be careful about?

@@SwaggyCheezeAsmr Kaytee is the only brand I had issues with, I let them know what happened they asked me to send them the lot number and they refunded my money. I sent them pictures of all the dust left on the carrier. Don’t use any pine chips or cedar chips if you want to use wood chips use Aspen.
