Loved your honest comment; I am in the same boat, and I feel the same everytime I watch other families lives. No family is perfect for sure, but it does make a difference to have at least some space to be yourself. When this doesn't happen in your own family, you start to feel isolated and out of place. Totally agree! It's lovely to see the family interactions. Many young people with broken home background really struggle with having a healthy family life themselves or decide not to have offspring in the fear of repeating the same mistakes or don't want to pass on the "broken" genes. Her mum is a vibrant old lady. She is far from young but is fit and healthy in her old age. There's nothing wrong with being old you know, it happens to the best and worst of us. Its not an insult to be old ,mature, elderly. One doesn't want to be young all their life you know. It is satisfying to be mature and have wisdom. Ask me how I know, lol.

I'm Portuguese, and you have to remind yourself that the way her parents live in Portugal is not realistic for most people, they are rich and retired. If you want to work here, the salaries are very low compared to rent and housing prices and overall living costs, and the biggest cities aren't as safe as they used to.

Lovely place; the Algarve. Having attended university in Spain, our go to place is Marbella, 450 km to the East, on the Costa del Sol. 11 days to our next trip. Living in Ireland, rain, little snow, the heat and sunshine is a God sent for us. Great videos, keep ‘em coming.
