What's this? A new litterbox? The boys are intrigued. Mika hears the noise it stops as he approaches it to get in. At first he lays down n thinks "No this is wrong" Finally gets up to do his business. Number 1 + 2 =💩💦 As a typical kitty, mika carries out litter on his pawsies🐾 Excellent job Mika!! He watches as the box cleans itself. Toby came after..i hope he used it also. 😽❤️😸

Toby and Mika know this things from kitten age, so i bet they never had a problem with one of the robots. 2 of my cats would have never used this robot. Tom, my Bengal mixbreed, loved to stretch and dig before and after his business, i had to purchase the biggest one for him. Maxi was big, and his slight arthrosis would have made it impossible to use for him. He needed a long litter box to feel good during his business. He was happy with the big box like the one Tom used before. Even old, he loved to dig with force. I don`t know how my former feral mom-cat Maya would have reacted, i think this thing would have scared her too much. For me, it was important to take a look on their poop to see if there was any food that wasn`t good enough for them. I only had special or special needs cats, Maya and her kittens had cancer, so watching their poop was very important to know about health. Tom had stinky and soft poop when he was stressed, and it was easy to stress him. He not only needed much movement and practice, he also needed much love and attention. Maxi was very old and needed some more care to stay healthy. To be honest, i never had a problem with litter box cleaning. It was part of my life, and i hope it can be part of my life again.

Perhaps you can use a ramp. We use one at our litter-robot 3, very handy especially for older cats.

Maybe she just needs more time to get used to it. Turn off the robot for a while perhaps she's a afraid of the sound. Put a regular litter box next to the robot, so she have to stay close to the robot. Perhaps she will use it when her old box needs to be cleaned. The robot is already clean. Don't force her to use it because that doesn't work. Good luck!

How well is the smell contained? It doesn't seem like there is a good seal over the waste bin under the (semi)globe. Also, can you easily use normal kitchen garbage bags instead of their proprietary ones?

One of these. My cat watched as I put it together. I got to the part where you plug it in and it made a loud beep sound. It scared the hell out of my cat, he ran to the other end of the house my dog barked and ran to the front door. He thought that we had company. I've tried to turn the beep sound off. There is nothing in the app and the buttons on the front of the unit don't seem to turn it off either. I have 30 days to return it because I bought it on Amazon. I have sent an email to the Neakasa support but haven't heard back yet. I will give them a day or two to respond, then if I get no response it's going back in the box then back to amazon. The reviews say that its so quiet but with it beeping everytime it cycles. It's not quiet at all I also have a litter robot it makes now beeping sounds at all. It is quiet. I bought this because my 22 pound cat doesn't like going in the litter robot 4. He uses it but he's reluctant about it. My wife thought this would be a good solution to his problem. Obviously not.

Our cats our used to a litter robot since they are kittens so they aren't afraid to use it. This litter-box is perfect for scaredy cats as well because of the open-top and low entry. As far the cleaning part, it's very easy to remove the globe so you can easily clean it. Check out other videos from Neakasa M1 for a demonstration.

@@Xiedubbel We got the "The Original Gorilla Grip 100% Waterproof Cat Litter Box Trapping Mat" which helps quite a bit & can be vacuumed. I do have to pull the shelf insert out & clean out the trapped litter.

We are using it for a short time but so far we like it. It got enough space to digg (which they love). It got a low entry and it looks very stylish and more compact. Because it's an open top it doesn't have an huge globe. You can control the litter box with an app. The safety sensors works very well, it immediately stops as soon the cat touch the box. They can't get stuck into it when there's a wall behind the box. The older litter box always worried me because Mika like to enter it when it's cycling 🙈 It's very easy to clean, simple to remove the globe and it's more affordable. So far the cons. I have to use it a bit longer to give a good impression. Hope this helps. Also check out Neakasa M1 user videos

To be honest i keep it as reserve so we didn't used it very often. I think it's just like our Litter-Robot. You only smell it as soon you change a new bag when it's full
