You are right...it should have been a happy time in your life. I am sorry this happened to you. I remember converting through a Reform rabbi to Judaism in 1977. 6 years later, I went to a Shabbaton at Hebrew Union College in Cincinnati. At the Shabbaton, I told the Dean of Admissions I was thinking about applying to study for the rabbinate there. His response was, "God damn it Michael, we could never find a congregation to hire you! Besides, how do you celebrate Christmas and Easter!" Even now, when I am wanting to join a Reform Jewish Congregation, I am asked to produce a "certificate of conversion". I wonder if there will ever be a time when I am really Jewish. I deal with this in several ways. To quote Eleanor Roosevelt , "no one can make you feel inferior without your consent!" You have to realize that the majority of Jews are myopic. You are taught in adult education about the "enemies of the Jewish people throughout history." I have learned that many of the enemies of the Jewish people reside within Judaism itself.

If you want a legitimate conversion, you have to go through Orthodox Judaism. If you go through the others, you will not be fully accepted by everyone in the Jewish community. Also, if you are going to be religious and convert, give it everything you have. If you want to convert, but don’t want to be religious, you shouldn’t convert.

Yep, if Reform services were too much work maybe she ought to try Orthodox, no joke, the reform I have seen (in Germany) expect women to know how to and be willing to do gabbai and aliyah roles, whereas at orthodox, ladies can walz in after the schararit service has begun and are not put on the spot. Unless it is a fast day, at both, one of the three hours is having hot drinks and some tasty food while chatting with neighbors and visitors to the city as community and being a good host is important in judaism.

Ok. Here is someone going through conversion and I can say why they denied your conversion. Watch 0:57 . When you talk about Shabbat you say you go to synagogue every Saturday for 3 hours. Shabbat is not a weight to carry but purely freedom. And Shabbat is more than 3 hours. I’m not the wisest person but I lived in 3 different continents and came across with many people. Regardless what I am I take your conversion not sincere already without having any authority. Sorry to say the truth but it’s not for everyone.

I don't think CHABAD will convert anybody. Their mission is to find Jews and bring them back to their Judaism. You do not convert to a tribe in Judaism; we are all one. You are probably thinking of sects. If I was to do this I would get an orthodox conversion as it is accepted by everyone. Well, in the Orthodox Movement, the idea of conversion of a non jewish person to Judaism is not permitted. But in most reform, reconstructed and in some conservative movements, conversion to Judaism is usually encouraged and welcoming.

The shame is that a Rabbi that wasn't Orthodox told you he could convert you knowing it wouldn't be accepted. You must do an Orthodox conversion with a real Orthodox Rabbi, PERIOD. If you learned everything you were supposed to and you're living an Orthodox life you can go to a Orthodox Rabbi that is accepted by the Israeli Rabbinate and go through a quick conversion.

That is not true one can convert to Judaism and the Torah teaches us, the story of Ruth, that all foreigners who wish to become Jews should be helped in their aspirations. It is not encouraged since one does not have to be Jewish to have a relationship with God. The orthodox rabbinate is just very backwards and ignores huge chunks of the Torah in favour of a manmade document namely the Talmud.
