In my county, anything over 20 acres has exemptions for construction requirements. So I called the county and found out what structures I would be taxed on, and what structures were tax exempt. Basically, if I can take it with me when I leave, then it’s tax exempt.that means portable buildings and Greenhouses , high tunnels, and anything on skids does not increase my property taxes. You might consider that before you tear something down and rebuild. Congratulations 🎉

When I was junger I helped our sow when she was giving birth. I gave her scratches, cleaned the piglets etc. I felt like there was a newfound bond between me and the sow. Next day I picked up a piglet ... Next thing I remember was I hopped over the fence faster and higher then a pole vaulter.

When I was farming, I enjoyed having sows and farrowing pigs. My favorite kind of work. I farrowed in a farrowing barn and farrowed in pastures.

Elvira had some beautiful babies. She is such a good mom, even letting y'all pet them. I got so tickled when Elvira laid down for a little belly rubbing from you, that one little pig says, "oh goodie, buffet table is ready", and then Elvira stood up and little pig ,"well I thought it was".
