Hello! Hope you enjoy this video about how Spooky came into my life. She is the best cat ever and I hope you enjoy watching her and learning about where she came from. Three-legged cats are also know as tripods because they are tripawed and I think that is adorable. My cat is having her leg amputated while I'm watching this video and my heart is shattered. It's been such a hard week as we first tried to operate it so she could keep the leg but it didn't work... She's only 1 year old and I can't stop crying. Thank you for this video, it helped ❤

She'll be totally okay, it'll be a kind of hard 6 weeks recovery but once that is over it is like they're a normal cat again, I forget half the time that Spooky only has 3 legs and most people don't even notice unless I say something! Also she's younger than Spooky so I bet she'll adapt even faster!

Thank you so much for putting this video up of Spooky and explaining the situation. We may have to have our cats leg amputated and have been a bit of a mess since we found out there is potential for it to happen, but this video has made me feel so much more calm about it. Spooky is so energetic and playful and like you said, there is no difference to a four legged cat.

Your cat will be okay, I've had her for 3 years now and she is so normal. I regularly have to chase her up the stairs because she runs so fast despite the missing leg. Also many people who watch the channel take a long time to realize she is a tripod so that tells you how normal her quality of life is. All the best luck to your kitty!

Me and my wife had to have our 3 month old kittens hind leg amputated yesterday. My wife found her abandoned behind her work with a missing leg and we decided to take her in. She was a newborn, only a few days old. Her nub got swollen the other day and we could tell she was uncomfortable. We woke up one morning to see bone poking out of the skin and we took her to the vet and they did X-rays and said the tip of the bone was sharp and caused the puncture, and it was growing incorrectly. So we had to amputate it. She’s recovering now but it breaks my heart to know her bone was poking her this whole time causing her discomfort. But it never stopped her from being playful and loving. Now that the leg is removed we know she’ll be a lot happier.

She is so beautiful and stronge. My cat felt form 8th floor . His hind leg will be amputaded so I was feeling so sad but this video gave me hope. Thanks 🙏 by the way i am from turkey my english is bad forgive me

Honestly for me her having 3 legs hasn't changed anything, if anything it's sort of nice for a first time cat owner because they can't get up on as high of things! I've had her now for 2 years and it has been sooo amazing and her health is consistently getting better.

My cat got hit by a car/broke it's leg while falling from a first floor window? Not entirely sure as I wasn't home when it happened. He's looking at amputation today. He's only 6 months old so I'm heart broken. I never cry, but last night wasn't fun at all. Desperately hoping he'll be OK. His sister will look after him when he's home. Cats are so much tougher than people.

As long as he recovers okay he will be just fine! Cats are so adaptable with 3 legs, most people don't even notice Spooky has three legs until I point it out.

Spooky 🐈‍⬛ is gorgeous, I'm so glad you gave her a fur-ever home! I have 3 cats, all foster fails & they bring me so much joy. Two are black beauty's, I find it so sad people don't want black cats/they are harder to adopt out.

Yes! Thank you for rescuing her! I foster/volunteer as well and I only adopt black cats due to how overlooked they are. So many wait sooooo long to get homes. They are the most euthanized and its soo sad. I love spooky !❤❤❤

How sweet. We have a feral outdoor mama looks just like Spooky with the lil white patch too. She just had her 4th litter and we luckily were able to drop them at a no kill shelter. 5 adorable kitties. We have 2 boys from a litter of hers a year ago and 4 others 🙀 Spooky truly is amazing and lucky to have you. 🤞🏻this round we can catch mama to get spayed on Wednesday and if possible domestic her 😻

Wonderful video, Haley, she must be so happy to find herself in a loving home finally. I think you'll do just fine as a first time car owner. I too am in Seattle and I love black cats as well; my preference being for black Manx cats (rumpies or stumpies). hey! I have a question. about 2 months ago I adopted a 3 legged cat called jacks (jackrabbit) he hops around like that. he is missing his front left. previous owners slammed his leg in a door and did nothing about it. long story short my husband and I adopted him. such a good boy, VERY playful and runs around like crazy. my question is does your 3 legged kitty pant alot after strenuous playing? he loves the red laser pointer but after a few minutes he is panting and his paws sweat.

So mine doesn't do that but I have lived with cats that play until they pant and sweat! I think in general it is okay but you should definitely ask you vet.
