He was popular in New York with the fans. I had season tickets to the Giants at the time and the fans always supported him in the preseason games. In those days he was listed as 6'4" and 285 pounds. He did get himself a Super Bowl ring but was taken way too soon. RIP #13, once a Giant, always a Giant.

When I saw him line up I was like wow it is true! So I am very sorry to hear he died from his size, I know weight like that can be a problem and there are times people don't understand what it means to be a bigger person like he always was. RIP big guy you were a athlete and for those that only look at how much you weighted shame on them for being so damn shallow!

The fact that he made it to, and even played, in the NFL means he was a great player. And I have empathy for his situation with coaches and such. As a kid who grew up fat until I ran a couple miles everyday for a whole summer, and even did fasting a few weeks before my weigh-in, all so I could be a full-back and not a lineman in little leagues, I know how hard cutting weight can be. Your eating habits and your body's natural state is used to that. BUT, I do have a hard time seeing this guy as a victim considering just making better eating choices would have kept him in the team. There is something deeper going on there

He really was, and he was fun as h$ll to watch. At that size you would never expect the words dual threat leave anyone's mouth, but he really was pretty quick and agile. I was so happy to see him in the NFL. He's kinda like Roy Nelson, the heavyweight fighter from the UFC and other organizations. So much unbelievable talent, if he would have been more dedicated and really tried and stayed working with trainers, I honestly think that he would've given Eli a run for his money or atleast got alot more snaps. Then to see him throw left handed was the icing on the cake. RIP HEFTY LEFTY!!! 😇 I'd be willing to bet all of my future income that we will never see an athlete like him ever again.

Such a sad tragedy that he let himself get that big. He has such athletic ability it was crazy. He could throw a football, extremely accurate and far. He was one of Kentucky's better quarterbacks throughout the years. May he rest in peace. P. S. I would have picked him as an RB and have him also be doing the play when needed where the RB can throw the ball after a sideways QB pass to him and to throw to eligible receivers if needed provided he was before the line of scrimmage. Also, would have used him as a Backup QB third string too just in case freeing up a position.
