yeah, this guy loses hours a day (years over time). But, some longevity hacks are cheap and convenient - an eating window of 4 to 8 hours, eating far less, and nutrient density - without supplements. Growing and making your own food is excellent for you - and can save money and burn calories a bit.

Agree. But it can happen easily to run out in Vit.D3 in Northern regions. I have experienced twice. Unnecessary in essential, but it happened twice... To stay young and fit it is generally recommended to eat well, to exercise well, to sleep well and to maintain good relationships. To be a calm character also plays into favour. Not exaggerating anything is my key. If I see his supplement-schedule I begin to feel overwhelmed.

I'd recommend reassesing the resveratrol. There's conflicting theories on that. It is an antioxidant, and antioxidants are good at low doses but too much antioxidants will get rid of all the free radicals that come along with exercise that trigger the positive adaptations of aerobic exercise. Too many free radicals will hurt you, but too little will prevent adaptation and make you weak and dependent on them. Kinda like weightlifting is a stressor and too much will break down your muscles and nervous system but just enough makes you stronger.
@McCarthy1776

It's also an anti-inflammatory which is another one of those things that too much is bad but just enough is good. Too much inflammation obviously causes a whole range of issues but in some cases like with weightlifting, some inflammation helps trigger muscle growth, just like the free radicals help trigger aerobic adaptation.

@@xolomartinez6036 i am 57 and i am fit, more than most 30s. But i would never say, i am fit like 20. Because i see the difference. With 20 or 30 i could party 3 nights and work without a problem. Now - i go out one night, without dinking alkohol and smoking, because i do not smoke and drink, but i need 1 day to recover from one night. The same in sports. I can feel, that my energy levels drop more than 10 years ago. And i never ate like a pig or junk-food. Sure i am much more fit than most men in my age, wellness therapists ask me, what i do for my skin care, body and face. But i do not do something special for this. But i still not say, i feel like 20. I only lived 20 years vegetarian and vegan. Now i started eating meat again. Just trying to see, if i get more energy from this or muscles can grow better. It's important to know that mixing bananas with berries, especially blueberries, can reduce the beneficial effects of the berries. Bananas contain an enzyme called polyphenol oxidase (PPO), which breaks down polyphenols-the key antioxidants responsible for the health benefits of berries. Studies show that when bananas are added to a blueberry smoothie, the polyphenol levels in the body drop significantly. To get the most out of your berries, it's best to avoid combining them with bananas.

I used to do like this too, I would make a smoothie for breakfast and put literally everything I could pack in there from nuts, fruits, seeds, powders, and I didn't seem to benefit much from it at all. There is lots of info out there on which vitamins and foods basically "cancel" out others, or hinder the absorption and should be taken separately, and there are also vitamins and foods that compliment each other so it is probably a good idea to research these subjects when planning diets so that we get the most out of them. So many things I didn't know before, like how I used to put kale in the smoothies raw, and apparently you need to cook it first.. and there are certain grains that need to be soaked first.. With vitamins and supplements there are many that should be taken separately, yet some of the most popular products are multivitamins and supplements that have combinations of different ingredients, and I an noticing that there are many on sale containing different vitamins and ingredients that I have read should not be taken in combination. For example I have a jar of Magnesium with calcium tablets in the press, and apparently magnesium shouldn't be taken with calcium so even when it comes to some of the well known manufacturers you can't take for granted and have to check yourself

Age reversal is a real thing and anyone can do it. The best way to gage your progress is by being able to do physical things you had lost the ability to do. Think like a child and act like one, too. Roll down hills, climb trees, and skip through dayly life. Childhood is where we develop our real skills. This guy has an awesome routine. I'm turning 60 but feel 20. After starting to walk like an old man I got healthy and can now do things I haven't done since my childhood. I'm going to implement some of his ideas. Dedicate you later years to getting younger!

@@Utoko True. However, if we are looking for objective examples that we have reversed our age recovering lost abilities is a good way. If I lost the ability to sit cross legged when I was 30 and then recovered it at 60 my quality of life has improved to that of a 30 year old at least in terms of flexibility. In the same way, as we do get healthier usually we will make improvements to our mitochondria and other biological markers that will be comparable to our younger years as well. So, in a way, we've reversed our age both physically and biologically.

I think 90% of it is mindset. I'm 47 and look and feel like I'm in my mid 30s. I have a youthful attitude and haven't lost my idealism and optimism. I don't think like people my age or worry about the same stuff. I don't buy in to the societal BS. I have fun in my life. I vape, don't eat super healthy, don't exercise (but have a physical job), and I had a 20 year alcohol problem. Despite these factors, I think I'm doing alright. I don't stress over my bad choices, I don't feel guilty about what I eat, etc. I'm healthy, happy, and don't have any of the health problems people my age face. The only thing I'm doing right is attitude and mindset.

I'm 65, a lifelong athlete, but at about 50, decided it was time to slow down as I was getting 'older'. My joints were starting to bother me and I just figured it was a life of hard athletics. Things got worse until a year ago I decided BS... something I am doing is wrong. I read, watched and decided to go carnivore 90%, within 3 months went from 205 to 192 and within 9 months my arthritis virtually disappeared and my gym weightlifting abilities soared again since my joints were not killing me any longer. I must confess from a visual perspective I was born of a family with good genes which I understand has much to do with people thinking I am late 40's, but nevertheless the diet change was the biggest positive impact on my health my entire life. Yes, I still indulge in a beer, pizza etc, but 90% of the time I keep my cards to 35 gm/day and focus on fatty meats and eggs with a few garlics, onions, mushrooms in there. No more pasta and breads every meal etc., but maybe 1-2 times a week. Life is good.

I'm 64. Lifelong athlete want-to-be; an old gym rat if you will. I've never been fat, but I'd say I have bad genes (not good) and I am a runt. I've never had the disadvantage of having competitive athletic success. I can relate to what you say (anyway), but I look at the "slow down" as you say of as more of a switch to exercises that lay off the knee joint tissue and like body tissues (mostly joints). I used to do mostly natural body building, but now It is not possible to keep all that muscle (200lbs total body weight or so), for the cellular regenerative rate (relative to cell death rate) of soft bone joint tissue (like cartilage) has declined relative to other body tissue types. This is just simple deduction from the fact that we are made of different types of cells. No amount of supplementing will fix my problem unless we can understand "The song of the Cell" (great book). Cellular systems age in many ways, (and I think) a lot of which is not understood. I'm currently shooting for 180lbs body weight (currently at, and may go lower), and my personal records (PR's) that are approachable are things like number of pushups in an hour, or a one arm pull-up (have not got it yet but will continue working on it). It's a shift in athlete focus because of age. I'm not likely to brake my old PR's, but can make new ones in stuff that I have not even tried in the past. In the last 2 years I took up swimming in favor of running (or at my current state I call it hobbling, not running). So ya, now it's more soft athletics. BTW: I tend toward carnivore (with fatty meat) too. I crave pasta twice a week and keep it limited. I indulge some too. I smell a lot of sales (and other) BS in this video, but my brain can filter out some good stuff. Life is good.

I don't have $30,000 to spend per se! But I did put in 28 years as a MARSOC Marine, I exercise routinely, with emphases on weight training. I've beat a CLL diagnoses and actively skydive and scuba at age 61. My advice! Do workouts and nutritional programs that work for you. We are not a "one size fits all", what works for this guy, may not work for you! Having a home gym is critical for a person, like me who has a job and family. It doesn't take much to build a decent home gym, and it can be located anywhere, from a corner of a room to a finished basement. This gives me no excuse to miss a workout and affords me the opportunity to maximize my time towards training, not siting around waiting for available equipment in a germ saturated commercial gym. BTW, the guy working out in these videos, looks suspiciously like the narrator 🙂

Consider minimising plant based - it’s absolutely not as healthy as the ideologist’s and claim in time will cause many problems, very common for those on such diets to have inflammation , poor skin , depression , auto immune diseases , diabetes and the list hoes on , you have to be very selective with plants - if you have to focus on a particular diet then only Carnivore can cut it and thousands of years of evolution we can show it’s gives the best results - our digestive system is designed for meat and animal products , it’s not designed for vegetation in quantity and you certainly don’t want to be eating large quantities as your digestive system never gets a rest , ketovore , keto or carnivore with intermittent fasting overall gives the best group results , we should not get hung up on the results of one person . If you want to understand more about carnivore then watch the channel “low carb life” over 500 peoples experience’s and experience with results is far better than any theory , analysis or claimed study - the proof’s in the pudding ! But minimise them puddings 😂

Genetics is a massive factor here. Some people just have better genetics. If they then go on a routine to further improve outcomes, it's easy to attribute all their success (when compared to general population) to these additional measures. It's simply not the case. That doesn't mean these additional measures are not valuable for everyone. But that won't result in being like this guy, even if you started them at my same time he did and did all the same things on life before he started too.

I adore this game. That said, as a game dev who has worked in big studios, I think it’s a stretch to say it’s unfinished. I think that the truth is games and story are excruciatingly difficult to make, and they were just trying their best. This was their best shot, bless their hearts. SquareSoft and Enix were in another galaxy in terms of how they thought about games at the time, it’s unfair to look back and think that was the norm and that other studios could replicate it.

Trust the Stoics. Embrace that you will die and you start to actually really enjoy living everyday. There is no such thing as aging backwards. We are all dying in installments. Nothing wrong with taking care of yourself while you’re here but to be obsessed with living forever on this earth is pointless. It’s ok to age in fact it’s natural. There is beauty in aging.

Yes, we'll all be old inevitably. The only thing in our control is whether we'll grow old or we'll only become old. For longevity, there are important things we can do, but we don't have to spend our whole lives and money on diminishing returns.

telomeres can be rebuilt, though - is rare, but it does happen. cancers can spontaneously go away without medical intervention.

@@selfecompany8680 yes, the Stoic concept of thinking about death a bit so as to remind yourself to **live** is a wonderful one.

It seems as if this lifestyle is a product of wealth, privilege, and most likely being single, with no direct responsibility towards raising a family, as “a measly”$30,000 a year, plus hiring consultants, and having about a quarter of the day put aside specifically for self maintenance, isn’t something the average person has spare change for within their budget. Whether that be monetary, or timewise.

At first I read your comment and agreed with it because I have two kids and lots of other responsibilities that come with that and homeownership. But as I thought about it more, it was eye-opening to see how many excuses I even came up with for why I can't focus more on my health. Thankfully I'm taking baby steps towards my health but not even for me, I just want to be here as long as possible for my kids.

@@RobertoMezquiaJr Taking responsibility for your health is great for both you and your kids, but the regimen presented here is more than just basic care. It’s in itself, a nearly, if not full time, extremely regimented job. One that requires dedication, focus, lots of time and plenty of cash to spare. Although, I can’t remember all that was listed here aside from air purifiers, special mattresses, consultants, frequent physical check ups, supplements, trampolines, special diets, some sort of special pad that I can’t remember what it was for, etc, etc. I do know that it ain’t cheap. For most of the general public, they wouldn’t view $30,000 a year solely on personal health and physical maintenance to be a casual, measly chump of change. That’s what I’m getting at. I’d be interested in knowing what the guy in which this is based on, does for a living, unless, this is it. At his age I can’t imagine him having children to raise. It was stated that he even has time for friends and going out. Whether it’s true or not, according to what someone else mentioned in the comments, he has had an apparent face and neck lift so this goes beyond just wanting to be healthy. This is extreme vanity. Which is fine, but this type of maintenance at this level is absolutely a form of privilege.

I’m turning 50 in 6 days. I’ve always been aware of my health and taken responsibility but it’s time to get serious. Also, the grounding mat isn’t as good as nature (nothing is) but if you live in a frozen land for over half the year like I do it’s better than nothing.

If it weren't for my naturally white hair, I'd be in this group. Until November 2023, despite decades of drug abuse and neglect of my diet, I looked at least ten years younger than my true age. I had used neuromodulators, but can no longer afford those. I guess my secret(s) are collagen powder, vitamin K2, metformin, Retin A, and mild autism--any or all of these have been proposed to aid the pursuit of a youthful appearance.
