If you listen to his podcast or have seen him on anybody else’s podcast, you will see that he is very straightforward, no time for silliness or jokes . Very serious. But I guess he’s not like that at all in his romantic relationships…serious that is.

I do listen to his podcast, and he does add a little humor here and there. It is very understated and self-deprecating at times. I just think that when he's on a late night talk show he should ease up a little.

I take the good from the bad. I'd rather not be a part of cancel culture, especially not for a man who has helped thousands of us. Also, he has invited critics onto his podcast. Like with the most recent marijuana episode pushback.

@@Jonathan-mp3ju It seems like a stretch to me to claim that he makes the mistake of trying to give advice outside of his area of expertise; in contrast, he repeatedly states throughout all of his lectures that he isn't giving people advice. Instead he is professing about what he can tell from reading his view of the most relevant science for a given topic. He often consults colleagues to help sort out what's important. Perhaps he makes some mistakes with some selections, but if we were to say he does a pretty good job of synthesizing a subject area for more than 85% of his episodes, I'd say we were doing a massive disservice with our review. Another note, when talking outside of his domain, he frequently acknowledges that he's doing that - and even so, what is the point of having science papers if they are so complicated that a tenured professor at a top university can't understand the research in a different branch? I mean, what is your definition of an expert here, really? Also to your point about followers, likes, and subscribers - would you prefer he doesn't try to grow his podcast and builds it by himself with strictly neuroscience topics and no regard for public opinion? That doesn't make any sense to me. Any artist, leader, scientist should strive to make work that is important, interesting, and applicable to both them and their listeners/community. He consults with colleagues in preparation for episodes outside of his specialty and also frequently brings on guests. I'm puzzled to why you would think that way; it seems like he researches incredibly persistently to have a high standard for the episodes.

The explanation of the technique starts at 8:02 minutes. Here are the instructions: 1. Take 2 consecutive inhales through the nose: one big inhale, followed by another inhale with no exhale in between, to maximally inflate your lungs. 2. Then exhale all your air until your lungs are empty via your mouth.

I could tell by the look on Andrew's face, when he saw the audience do the breathing technique, that he realized he had just made an impact in the mainstream media world. A place that is usually full of superficial junk and rarely anything that would elevate. That's how it looked to me. Imagine if celebrity gossip, and things that don't really matter, were replaced with great information like this. Imagine if pharmaceutical and junk food commercials were replaced with information on preventative care through lifestyle changes. The comments here show that people want this. Andrew Huberman's demonstration of stress-relief breathing techniques on The Tonight Show is super practical and insightful! He breaks down the science behind how specific breathing exercises can reduce stress by calming the nervous system. I love how he emphasizes the power of slow, deliberate exhalations, which tap into the parasympathetic system, helping us feel more relaxed. It’s a great reminder that something as simple as breathing can be a powerful tool for managing stress and improving focus. Huberman makes neuroscience easy to apply in daily life-definitely worth incorporating into a routine!

He’s beyond the number one podcast! This man saved my life and thanks to the help of his various portfolio, has saved my life! I was suicidal and desperate for answers in 2021, so as the Bible verse says, knock and the door shall open! I looked for remedies for severe depression and anxiety (I tried therapy for 7 months and I didn’t do anything for me) Once I ran into his podcast and IMPLEMENTED various advised protocols, due to the various studies he cited, I am now drug free, alcohol free, I have a 6figure job with a side business and I’m about to start school! Thanks you Dr. Huberman for all the species enhancing work that you and your colleges do! 💕 You’ll be my professor soon!
