And so it was once upon a time when The Lakes Distillery was the perfect place to live alpacaly ever after! Situated on the River Derwent in a dramatic location, it is surrounded by incredible views of the northern most fells. The Lakes Distillery is the perfect place to come along and Meet The Alpacas!
What to expect
Every Saturday and Sunday at 2:30pm (with extra dates during school holidays) you will have the opportunity to get up close and personal with the alpaca girls and babies.
-Activity takes place at The Lakes Distillery, Near Bassenthwaite Lake, Cockermouth CA13 9SJ.
-Prices start at £15 for visitors 12 yrs & over, £7 for children 4 - 11 yrs, and under 4s are free.
-All visitors under 18 yrs must be accompanied by a parent as part of the booking.
-The activity lasts 40 mins and involves feeding the girls on their home field, spending time getting to know the herd and learning lots from the guide!
-Groups of up to 30.
-New babies can usually be seen in late spring/summer.
-Also accessible by X4 bus.

-Suitable for all ages and abilities/mobilities including wheelchair users.

Site facilities include award winning bistro with outdoor seating, gift shop, free car parking and disabled parking. Car park is located on a hill with steps and ramp access, there is also a disabled drop off point near the entrance.
