What a great lady! Love that she's doing this and teaching people that cats are trainable with positive rewards and not negative ones. Also, she's helping neglected cats get adopted & being given a second chance.

Its true, you really can teach ANY cat tricks if you find the right motivation. I was teaching my recently passed kitty tricks right up to his deathbed, and he was 16, badly arthritic, and lethargic due to the kidney disease. He didnt play at all in his final days, but his eyes would light up when it was tricks for treats time! It was a great way to actually get him to exercise lol (RIP Gingey, bestest, fluffiest boy in the land, i miss you x)

She was just on Theo Von's podcast a month ago. After watching that, I keep getting Amazing Acrocats videos in my feed, not complaining though. She also did an edited video interview with the Oregonian. Looks like the filmed it back-to-back with this one.

My cat loves to jump and perch on very tall shelves. When I see her about to do it, I gesture around as if I were giving her instructions to jump. It seems very impressive but the cat is not trained, I just know when she’s about to jump and act accordingly. These acts are way cooler!

@Bytedesigning6 жыл бұрын
Not sure if joke or not. But having the bond and giving your pet this type of attention is great for them. It's better them being bored alone at home. My cat gets terribly bored and I wish he had more outside activity when I'm working so he wouldn't mope so much. This is also great for promoting adoption and understand cat behavior. They are so smart. I had my old cat use a bell system to communicate what she wanted back in her day. And my current cat is adorable fetching his toys for playtime and bringing them to you so you take the hint.
@larissadelgado19694 жыл бұрын
She’s using positive reinforcement. And donating money to rescue. I would only say they’re being exploited if they’re being hurt or abused/made submissive to perform tricks.
