Yes! You can spin bulky and art yarn because bobbins are very big. However, if you are serious about art yarn and require considerable length, then you should look at the Ashford Jumbo e-spinner.

Hello, does this have a foot peddle to control speed, or at least turn it on and off hands-free?

There is a foot peddle included. It only turns the wheel on/off and cannot control the speed.
