The price point is good, I like the idea of adding rules to the handle. The hickory won’t be accurate once it gets wet and warps.

Good call; seems like useful improvements to me, not gimmicks.

Wonder over time if the handle will warp and stop you from getting accurate measurements? @WorkshopAddict

I do not think any of my hickory hammers that I have from my grandfather have warped in the 50 years they have been around.
@wim01044 жыл бұрын
what is it with all these ppl that warp handles?? don't leave your tools out in the rain, maybe? or is this a humidity thing in the swamps of the deep south?

In two months or so he will also have more options that would get more people excited. Composite will be out in a week or so.

Man! It's hard to choose!!! As a professional Licensed Contractor, Handyman, Certified carpenter/Heavy Carpentry work it's hard to choose!!! I got Vaughan California Framer 23oz Milled/Waffle Face Steel Head and Curved wood handle and 19oz California Framer steel head smooth face straight hickory handle, I've been using Vaughan hammers for years heir framing hammers and sledge Hammers are awesome made in the USA! 🇺🇲, And my Dalluge 16oz Titanium Framing Hammer made in USA 🇺🇲. My Estwing 18" nail puller/pry bar tool steel made in USA also, now! My recent purchased the Hardcore Hammer 21oz D2 Machines tool steel and 4140 American Steel waffle face recessed from the inside and smooth faced on the outside of the face 2 magnetic nail starter Full grown American hickory 18" handle gun stock finish also USA made 🇺🇲 and I love the design too. that hammer cost me about the same price of the stiletto titanium 14oz 🔨 hammer. They're all Rip Claws Framing Hammers. Now I saw this boss hammer co. Another proudly American made tool. I gotta have it.

Very nice hammers

This hammer deserves to be made in Titanium which would be an infinitely better material as it would hold square much better with no wear and the markings an be etched into the metal. On a jobsite, those markings and the straightness of the handle between the midway point up to the neck of the hammer are going to get out of wack quick. One overstrike and the measurement features become useless. Titanium: That has to be their next product; If they don't do it, somebody else will. Maybe they can get with one of the big boys and do a collaboration using this tech on their hammer(s) line? But this thing is screaming to be made in Ti for sure.

Creative product but the price is outrageous. I’d be surprised if the people saying the prices are good aren’t paid to say it. I’d pay $35 tops.

So... the product is the marking on the wood handle. I can measure and mark the same thing on my handle

This guy invented a new hammer. Quite clever. He obviously is a big fan of hickory handles (me too ). But when asked about any new things he says he has a composite handle coming out " for people who like to swing this type of hammer" Sounds like he wouldn't use one and probably made one because of demand only.

Love American made products. Good for him for trying something new. But...as a farmer of 30 years, no one is allowed to use a wood handle hammer on our jobs unless it’s a “Douglas” , too many knuckleheads miss when they swing it and the handle can and will break, making it a projectile. It’s a very difficult market with Stiletto hammers, titanium and wood. Martinez hammers, good ol estwing hammers.....I started with a 22 oz estwing and then bought a Stiletto, Martinez.,and Vaughn, . Those are tough to beat for a professional builder. The dewalt MiG weld is also good. The square feature and markings are just not going to be accurate enough , as soon as the wood shifts even a 1/16th it’s out of square already. Plus it’s just not practical to grab your hammer instead of a speed square to mark anything. Most guys I know framing use estwing to start then move up to a stiletto.....great channel 👍🇺🇸

Except stilleto sold out to China. USA all day anyway over a 300$ Chinese hammer lol.

Ridiculous. If I see any of my framers laying out with this gimmick I’ll fire him on the spot for having low expectations of his finish product. No F...ing way you can be fast and accurate transferring a mark from a rounded handle onto a surface.
@JourneyNorthAK4 жыл бұрын
Lol..excatly.. if they cant read a speed square get rid of em
@beefuzzy3104 жыл бұрын
I'm sorry, this gimmick is a hard pass. I'm not pro enough for a Stiletto, but I will stick with my Estwing and which ever square is best for the project I'm working on.
