Turnpike doubles are over 130 feet, not run up north, as they are under permit only and pulled on double lane highways. This video is incorrect

Roadtrains are my tip top favorite kind of trains in the world since they don't need railroads

Here in Australia we pull 4 sometimes more, depending where you are and what state.

In Finland we use long trucks also

You literally didn't show 1 truck with 3 trailers , you didn't even show a turnpike (2 53' trailers)

Australian road trains see a lot more than flat desert roads. They cover much of the country out side of major cities. At times facing steep climbs. Also units pulling up to 8 trailers on private mine roads. Look up The Centrepeed. They have a second engine in the rear trailer and run 24 7 365 non stop. Also Mitchell Fuel in Western Australia has a one off largest fuel tanker in the world

umm Mitchell fuels ? did you mean great southern fuels or Steve Mac ?

Not really . The SAME rationale for using these large and efficient vehicles . Canada is sorta the Inverse of Australia . A Frozen Desert wasteland rather than a Burning Sandy Desert wasteland .

Most of what we see in this video is from ice road trucks

This poster does not know what a road train actually is. In Northern Sask, they have a road train, with 3 long trailers. 1 is a van or reefer and the other two are tank trailers. The van or reefer is loaded one direction and the tanks are empty, then the van is empty the other way and the tanks are loaded. The way that Canada uses b trains is safer.

Self driving trucks are a joke, hit ice and snow who chains them up for hills, who decides when they need to chain up, AI cannot solve these problems, this is just a small example of AI not being practical, another is off highway roads or detour routes
