The Kevin Richardson Wildlife Sanctuary's mission is to provide a self-sustaining African carnivore sanctuary for the purposes of wild species preservation through education, awareness and funding, especially pertaining to the rapid decline of large carnivores in Africa due to habitat loss, human-predator conflict, unscrupulous hunting, disease and their illegal trade.
To raise awareness, Kevin has now set up his KZbin Channel 'LionWhispererTV'. The channel is all about raising awareness about not only the declining numbers of lions, but also how this rapid decrease is happening. By watching these videos, you are directly contributing to our scheme of land acquisition.
Kevin captures the majority of his footage on GoPro cameras, allowing the viewer to get as close as possible to the lions.
By doing this, Kevin hopes to give people an insight into the lives of these beautiful creatures and to let them see just what they can do to help. You can nearly touch them.

He did hand-raise the. However he did not do that by establishing himself as human and by controlling them. He joined as one of them by obeying to their rules and by becoming one of them. That's why if any other human goes near them, they'll become their snacks. If they were made to be like pets, they would obey all humans. But it's not in this case

IIRC that honor goes to the tasmanian devil. They are small though so the hyenas is higher. The jaguar is the highest of CATS.

@@stldweller who cares about who's the highest ranked, any of those three decide to bite you, you're in for missing some body parts...or them all.

Really nice to see the hyenas bonded with him and accepted as part of the pack.

Watching this mans videos makes me wonder what kind of relationships early man had with wild animals. I wonder if there ever were a lot more men like him that would form a delicate "friendship" with any wild animals in their area and which animals man has been able to do this with. I can imagine what a huge benefit this kind of relationship would have been to early prehistoric man and their neanderthal cousins

Life and death really, without this relationship we'd have gone extinct.

I would say we hunted anything we could, only animals that served us were allowed to live amongst us such as wolves who were gradually domesticated and horses

Predators are much easier to form a bond with due to their higher intelligence and tendencies for pack behavior.

Yay, thanks for including the hyenas! I love those little stinkybums so much. Not sure I always understand how the rankings sometimes shift but Bongo seems to be in control so I guess all is well :-)
