@@oscartriangle6699 if you're a melee in this game, underdog is one of the best perks you can possibly buy. even better than colossus. if you're gonna drop something, drop colossus. i've done it for both pathfinder and recover and it works okay so long as the bro levels a few times in hp up to 70ish.

Theres this speedrunner who holds several world records, he makes fun of underdog fans - says he runs it only on tanks and just a couple damage dealers besides tanks. He also values Colossus strongly because he doesnt play long enough and mostly uses shitter backgrounds. On the other end of the spectrum, theres a well known content creator CarveaHole who runs underdog on every frontliner, partly because hes too lazy to memorize which brothers have Dog and which ones don't when making decisions to push aggresively. For this dagger duelist - as i said, i play him a little like the way enemy Assasin behaves - i find that: - i pick Dog on almost every other frontliner so memorizing just this one exception isn't difficult - Dodge Mdef is a valid compensation - he is rarely piled up on, and never by more than 3 enemies, which is extremely uncommon - he is a very good Arena fighter; underdog is almost worthless there and that the earlier pathfinderless version was cringe when i fought in the forest or snow. Playing him like so, i dropped underdog and never looked back. Fearsome is a fantastic addition, some even would say - mandatory. This build is really bad against zombies and ancient dead anyway. Dropping either Killing Frenzy or Berserk in favor of fearsome is NOT out of the question here.

@@oscartriangle6699 im not saying colossus is a bad perk, its not. its quite good. but the dagger (and fencer) duelist are pretty feat starved, and recover definitely fits into both of their builds fairly well with the berserk proc into recover. it may also come down to playstyle. i fight a lot of orcs because its my chosen targets from mid to late game, and sometimes i'll end up fighting 20+ orc warriors + warlords, and they tend to mess up lines a lot, and I can't really afford to have one of my brothers surrounded by 3 or 4 warriors and not have underdog. again it comes down to playstyle. i've seen some dagger duelists (and even better, mace duelists) specifically built for the arena with weird wonky specs never imagined and they work surprisingly well (things like fast adaptation, adrenaline, quickhands even on a duelist, etc).

I sometimes cut relentless for QH if i have a dagger with reduced fat per hit so i can use 2h mace + deathblows.

In fact id love Dagger duelist. So they can move and stab 2 times. And next turn attack 3times. So he always usefull coz of how mobile dagger is. Basic stabs without any deathblow deals tons of dmg. And OW 3times its -30%! Omg. How strong it is. 4enemys with 70÷80Matck.

@@oscartriangle6699 you take attack and defense every level. Spread the remaining points between hp and fat (and resolve of you have to). 80hp after colossus, 130-150 initiative after armor.

i used them mid game as fatigue neutral builds. Late game i prefer cleavers. I also didn't have any good axes.
