On the hardest difficulty, I try to survive 50 days in modded Battle Brothers while stuck in the "Neolithic Era".
No starting funds, legendary combat & economic difficulty is insane on it's own.
However, playing an origin that has such a deficit to it's starting, and long-term, equipment is down right insane...!

Hey Frost, you might consider not doing the 0 gold start for your next campaign. I know it adds to the challenge, but it also takes a while to get past the early game and get to the more narrative section of the play-through. This seems like a great style of video for you and I'm glad its successful, but you may end up having problems with repetitive content in the first 20 mins of each long form video.

Throwing spears are pretty neolithic weapons, they were actually the only reliable way of taking down bigger prey back in the day, we even had this spear sling thingy to launch the spear with much more power!

This game, especially this run have me an idea for a hardcore D&D campaign. “Merx” takes place in a realm with a dying king who places little importance on police protections, especially in the frozen north and eastern desert lands. So, common people have taken up whatever is tough enough to kill someone with when you hit them with it in order to capitalize on the thousands of unsafe innocents. Weapon durability, brutal criticals for both players and DM, little magic, usually reserved for evil enemies. Although I guess this is kinda just Darksun lol

Yeah, that sounds like a possibility moving forwards :) Don't want to "milk content" but doing this current series in 50-day segments was the best for multiple reasons (and a 40min video is less editing for me in a single chunk... that's if I improve my editing speed too haha)

Yeah, that strategy isn't needed as much with lucky drops and layered armour (but that's also cause I'm a lazy one haha, daggering is still profitable and valuable in Legends)

@@TheIndomitableSnowman i just try a cool build on one of my brother. Flail mastery with nimble nude build on a berserker i think. Full hp no armor at all but tanky as heck. The nude perk double the nimble if the brother dont wear anything. U can make a video out of it

Haha, most of our challenges have a bit of torture to them :P It honestly was rough when testing out the mod and its capabilities (before making the final playthrough) but I grew to love the mod because it broke the meta/norms of the game and made me re-invent the wheel of how to make builds and deal with enemies :)

I just can’t make it past early game damage is way more than I’m used to for tactics turn based game and it always seems to be in the enemies favor even if I use the flanking tactics and high ground my Bros just keep missing and then dying but the enemy has no problem hitting most of they’re shots

This game (and the mod) definitely pushes the tactical game genre towards the limit of pain and harships. "Losing is fun" is the motto of the game and it shows, as there is practically no hand-holding, steep learning curve and very punishing gameplay for new players and veterans alike. It's one of those games you need to read up on before playing lol... but despite all that, the accomplisment of learning and winning through all the hardships is the true enjoyment of the game (at least imo) (Hope you enjoyed the vid though, despite the pain :)
