You know what, bless all their hearts. They are doing something they love. Yea it's apparent despite XX amount of years dancing they don't compare to someone with the same amount in an actual ballet academy, but it's wonderful to see so many young people of different backgrounds come together and enjoy this classic art form.

I only did ballet for about 4 years, I hate it now but I do admit ballet helped me with all the other dancing styles I have done, Mexican dancing, hip hop, jazz, tap dancing, Irish dancing, especially gymnastics.

I'm a swimmer also, but I think they probably don't do a swimming series as it is not as flashy and if you're u are in the water the whole time it's not very interesting to watch. I really with they would tho I think it's a quite underestimated sport as people only think lessons not competitions.

Their technique sucks sorry, not everyone has good technique and that's fine some people dance just because they like it but don't call them the best of the best if they have no technique sorry. Point your foot, don't sickle, square off your hips, square your shoulders, and watch your lines, that's literally the basics you can't be the "best of the best" if you don't even have that down

I am 12 years old and I am a company member at a pre professional ballet company and I've only been dancing for about 2 years and I'm already a level 5 on pointe so yes you are either a natural or not and if these kids want to make it a career they really need to step up their game because I have seen what good is and this is good but definitely not good enough and I mean this in the most positive way possible but really they need to step up their game.

Like if they can't point their toes, they can't do pointe! They also need to hold their core and arms and stop hopping when they turn

People need to comment nicer things, don't come on here trying to ruin anyone's dreams anything is possible for anyone if they put their mind to it! Doesn't matter your weight,height or color.. If you have a passion for dance go for it! I started dancing 3 years ago at the age 15 and my technique is pretty darn great! If you work hard everyday apply all the criticism you get it will pay off :)

The girl who's 16 who started at 13 is inspiring to me because I started dancing at 5-6 then stopped and restarted at 9-10 so it's inspiring to me that you don't have to start at the very beginning.

99.9% of those dancers are the worst dancers I've everrrrr seen.....there technique is terrible and they are sickling there feet during there turns and there legs are so bent in anything they do and don't even get me started on their arms....I'm surprised there teacher hasn't corrected them....this is sad

These girls and guys are 18 years old! Im 13 and I'm not the best dancer but if I went to audition with them I would stick out so much. I may not have all that strength but technique is way more important. It seems like all Anthony cares about is how much turns they can do. Do they even teach pointe classes? They are all saying they want to dance for the rest of their lives, how can they expect to get into a company with without taking pointe classes? They don't even have a website!

You don't necessarily need ballet to do any other kinds of dance forms. It's helpful, but not a must. Widen your perspective of different dance forms from different cultures from different countries, you might be surprised that you don't even need ballet to learn those dance genres.

Yes you do! I've been dancing ever since I was two and now I'm eleven! I compete also and I wouldn't be able to win first place if it wasn't for ballet. I do all of the styles.

I don't think it matters how good they are. It's obviously an AUDITION. Not everyone is going to be great. Most of you guys are bashing them and for what. You guys are only worrying about the negatives and not the positives. You can tell some of theses dancers have been working really hard. Look at Khayla. She has only been dancing for 3 years and you can obviously tell that she's been working hard, day and night. Look at Angelique, she finally got what she wanted in her senior year as mentioned. Stop looking at the negatives and look at the positives.

No, it's not a different type of ballet. When you're on regular ballet slippers, that means you are preparing to be en pointe, but your feet aren't strong enough yet. And when you are ready for it, you get the pointe shoes, then start doing ballet en pointe. It's still the same style of dance and same moves. I have no idea what you're talking about, honestly.

0:48 is where I stopped their technique is making me cringe! most of these girls are at my level which is not really impressive and some are below my level. These girls are not even ready for pointe shoes their ankles are weak while their posture is.....If you are going to feature a show similar to cheerleaders feature advanced ballet companies as like Joffrey and ABT. I trained at the Joffrey for a while and boy I looked like a fool such prestigious dancers their!! Or some others companies like Mather dance, club dance ,perseverance or Jpd etc..Although I'm not going to hate it will be interesting and inspiring to watch these dancers grow!😍💕
