I respect Dr Nujoma especially his views on cultures. Many of socalled church leaders are opposing his support for "Olufuko" which is traditional marriage, look today with high divorce rates in these socalled modern European marriages. A nation without a culture is doom to fail.

namakalu hermine My mother is a black Namibian, which I am assuming you also are. I only want the best for our country. If you look at the countries that have adopted a capitalistic economy with pro business policies (i.e Zambia, Botswana, Ghana, Mauritius in our own continent), you would see that they experience way larger growth than Namibia. I am trying to convince you that this is a better system for the sake of the country my mother comes from. I genuinely have your best interests in mind.

My family has probably suffered more under apartheid than you, and your family have. As i said earlier I genuinely have the country's best interest in mind when i say what i say.

well that makes him our hero and has done great stuff for us and genuinely cares, he is not perfect and we are smart enough to understand that no one is perfect and it is easier to find other people's mistakes when you are looking from outside of the game until you get the chance to actually play in the game. we weigh his leadership by how much good stuff he has done.. which is 90% and we really don't care about the rest because he is a human being just like you and I and cant see in all corners. unless you are 100% perfect human being or have a better proven leader than he is, we will consider your thoughts (hugs).

one reason i take my hat off to Mr Nujoma. He became Namibian Pres after the war. Took on a massive job and did it. Not once did i hear of him or his cabinet doing stuff wrong or depriving anyone from freedom etc. I cannot say the same about RSA and Zim. Good on yo Mr Nujoma. Africa can learn from Namibia and Botswana. Good examples of fair living and good laws

tell me one country in the world where wealth is shared completely equally and how many countries have expressed this views about? I said leave Namibia alone because I know there is a difference between someone who really cares for Namibia and is a POSITIVE CONTRIBUTOR to the development of Namibia and someone whose complaints are meant to divert people's minds into seeing you as the 'saviour' . people are not blind anymore and they see these things clearly. during apartheid we heard no complaint from you or anyone and that was the most corrupt government thus far and when Comrade Dr Shafiishuna Nujoma becomes president you suddenly know the word corrupt? Corruption is not a Namibian thing it is foreign ad we are very much aware who brought it. (but we wont say lol)

namakalu hermine I am born in 1993. I wasn't alive during apartheid. My relation to apartheid is that my mothers family suffered from the South African governments use of pesticide on the homelands, and the persecution of politically active youths. There is no country that has complete equality today. In the past there have been such places, but all of those states failed, because radical socialism is not a viable way to run a country. Even if Namibia were to become 100% socialist there would still be a need for a political elite to administer the country, and redistribute the wealth, thereby increasing the chance of corruption. I believe it is against human nature to be socialist, if everything you worked for got taken away, you would not have any incentive to work. So to summarize on equal distribution of wealth: Having such a system is not economically viable (almost all economists agree with me on this), there would be less incentive to work thereby making Namibia less productive (poorer), there would not be equality because the politicians would take over the role of productive people in a socialist society. What can be considered a "positive contribution" to Namibia is subjective. In a democracy it is important that people are open to new ideas and changes. I genuinely think that Namibia becoming a proper market economy would be good for the country as a whole (including the very poorest). Just take a minute to read about Botswana's success, or the success of East Asian countries, which for only a few decades ago were as poor, if not poorer than Namibia is today.
