I miss the intricate and elaborate style of the vestments worn by Pope Benedict XVI. As Pope I think he should stand out liturgically by wearing such ornate vestments, mitres, etc. As much as I like Pope Francis, he does not stand out as he should as head of the Catholic Church during Mass and other liturgical celebrations.

They are a heretical group of schismatic "Catholics" who are not in communion with the Pope and who believe the Catholic Church has fallen into heresy. They are traditionalists who broke off from the Church after Vatican II. Not true Catholics at all.

Tommy Ramsey Haha, it’s funny how you simply asked what the abbreviation stands for, and instead received 2 very detailed moments on what it is. SSPX stands for the Society of Saint Pius X. As stated earlier, they are traditionalist Catholics, not in communion with the Pope. You might’ve also heard the term FSSP. This means Priestly Fraternity of Saint Peter. These are also traditionalist Catholics, but they actually are recognized by the Vatican. Hope I helped, just a little :)
