Seth Sarvis Baker (‪@SethyFBA‬ ) is a 7 figure Amazon FBA online book arbitrage seller. In this episode, Seth talks about his journey to 1 million+, hiring a VA team, and reveals some of his sourcing strategies that have led to his success.
We also gained keen insight to how Seth reads keepa charts and his strategy for deciding if to buy a book, and how to deep to go.
A very interesting part of our discussion revolved around the inaccuracies of keepa, and how understanding them can potentially offer an enormous competitive advantage.
We both agreed the keepa is the most powerful sourcing tool on the market, which is ironic considering most online arbitrage books sellers use other softwares (eflip, zen arbitrage, and masterbookflippers) to source inventory.

Great vid! Does Seth have the business in America? How best to set this up along with the prep centre?

Thanks! He's located outside of the U.S., but he sells on the U.S. marketplace. All you need to do is contact a prep center in the U.S., have permission to sell on the U.S. marketplace (get a U.S. account), and be eligible to sell books.

Regarding the keepa analysis part: I would not buy the second book because historically the pricing has been lower than what the current pricing is. Assumption should be that the price should eventually come back down making it very little or even not profitable at all. Of course it could work out if the price stays unusually high but we can't know that. I would not buy 4th book either because there is no indication it would be getting sales during april-may like it did previous year. It could just be a book that is running out of popularity completely and not get bought at all or very rarely. I would be worried about this seeing there is no sales rank spikes for many months. And btw -- statistics tab in keepa doesn't indicate monthly sales for used and new. From my understanding it shows how often there has been price drops.

Hey! Thanks for your keepa insight! I always appreciate a good discussion about the books we are all looking at. There are so many different factors and variables to consider and it's nice to hear other's opinions. It looks like the statistics tab does show the number of sales rank drops and used/new offer count drops in the past 90 days.

Hello Joji! I'm starting with a Prep Center and I will update sent orders through Google sheets. Will I need Accelerlist / Inventory Lab anymore with the prep center? Do you use the software for any specific task?

You would no longer need a listing software. I still have a subscription to Go2Lister since I still send some stuff to my house and I also need it to make content for KZbin. Congrats on going with a prep center! Who did you decide on?
