24 years old is quite an age for a bear to have cubs. I hope they all survive.. 4 is quite a handful for a mamma bear to care for🐻

this is from 4 years ago. As of last year, she emerged in May with 1 cub. I don't think she's come out of hibernation this year, so her current status is unknown. But as of last year she was the oldest grizzly mom on record!

Right On, good for that bear to have 4 little cubs for company, the only thing better would be if they all make it to adulthood.

I wonder what she's thinking about all those people. Her cubs seem curious. This interest is wonderful for wildlife education and preservation.

Absolutely insane the attention given to a wild animal. People, stay home and leave the bear alone!

I’m more irritated over her being referred to as a number instead of a name. The humans seem to be keeping their distance, which is good. There are people out there that are too stupid to not realize they shouldn’t get close to a wild bear though.

People were very respectful of her space. It’s these people that love nature and wildlife that make sure animals are protected. They’re the ones who fight for protected national parks. They’re not hunters, animal abusers, or stupid people trying to pet her cubs. The animals need these people. It’s good for people to see so many people respecting nature when there are so many videos out there of people doing horrible things to animals. Like the video I saw the other day where a group of tourist saw tiny cubs in a tree. There was a low fence there between the people and cubs but they walked over and pulled the cubs from the trees. The cubs tried to hold onto the tree but couldn’t you could see how scared the cubs were as they started taking selfies. One cub freaked out and they got scared it ran off the other cubs didn’t know what to do. How stupid and selfish! They’re lucky their mum didn’t see! Those are the losers not there people you see here and as someone that’s fought for animal rights for the past 25 years these people are not just photographers, curious people or nosey folks they really care about animals wellbeing . They love animals. They use telephoto lens. They can shoot film and photos that look like they’re standing 20 feet away. Mine can shoot a bird in the sky hardly visible to the eye and it looks like the bird is just flying over my head. So don’t worry the animals are in a national park and are very well protected. You can even see a ranger there.

It irritates me so much when they give an animal a number as a name like bro you cant spend 5 seconds coming up with a nice name like just "hazel" would've been enough

whats really sad is that she might not be able to defend her cubs against a male bear because of her age , if thats the case the cubs will not survive

The number of people out there seems ridiculous. This kind of response and attention to a WILD ANIMAL should be stopped. I’m surprised there weren’t people out there trying to pet the cubs.
