Yeah. Perkins with his fake racism card scared the voters. And it's bullshit. I'm the first one to talk about systemic racism and internalized racism etc. And if you want to talk about executive's and coaches who aren't part of the old boys network not getting a fair shake I'm all ears. But not the awards. I'd anything I'm guilty of being racist towards white players and I think the media and culture accepts it more than is ideal. But overall it's not something that affects white people the way racism vs black people affects them. Except on an individual level and not as a group, which sucks for Jokic. He'll be fine of course. I think Embiiid is a baby who complains and cries about everything. He's not a winner. The way he laughed after trying to take the other centre head off that used to play for Cleveland and fake apologizing was just classless. Do it with your boys, sure. But not on a stage it's just so disrespectful.

Outside of 76er fans, I feel bad for anyone that took this team seriously
@wesleyprince3465
@wesleyprince3465 11 ай бұрын
I feel bad for Sixers fans in general. In game 7, Tatum and Brown both individually scored more than Harden and Embiid combined. Granted hindsight is 20/20 but they blew every draft pick post-Embiid. Took Jalil Okafor over Booker and Porzingis. Took Simmons over Jaylen Brown and Ingram Took Fultz over Tatum, Fox, Mitchell, Markannen. Signed Harris over Butler. Imagine Embiid with Butler and any 2 out of Tatum, Brown, Booker, Mitchell, Fox or even Markannen or Porzingis...and maybe still end up with Maxey as well. That would most likely be an ACTUAL contender even with Doc trying to give away series' leads. At the very least they'd make it at least to the ECF 2 or 3 times.
@rob7216
@rob7216 10 ай бұрын
I don’t understand how Sixers fans took them seriously. They are delusional. I’m a Sixers fan and I really had no interest watching all year, because I knew deep down we’d blow it in the end. Hard to get excited for that. I wish we’d just trade Embiid already, obviously trade Harden too and start focusing on Maxey and the future.

A big issue is he gets blown out in all these do or die games. The only one I noticed that was close near the end was the Hawks game. Doc’s main issues are he can’t adjust, he doesn’t take any accountability, & tied to that he throws players/others under the bus.

I’m glad you brought up the 6ers game 7 against the hawks. Even after the Ben Simmons pass up there was 3:30 left in the game. Embiid choked in the last few possessions but they wanted to scapegoat Ben. Not saying that Ben didn’t deserve a lot of responsibility (because he did) i just like how we ignored for the longest the turnover in the final minute by Embiid and missed shots after the Ben pass up.

I love this video for one reason in particular: I'm a CP3 fan, and listen. I am NOT saying he doesn't have his share of bad playoff performances. I keep it real. HOWEVER, the fact is that for the entirety of Chris's prime, he was saddled with either Doc or James, and as soon as he was free of both of them, he made his first Finals ever. Coincidence? I think not. That year that the Harden "led" Rockets almost beat the peak Warriors? IMO CP3 deserves retroactive props for getting them there.

26:00 The end of the finals where the Lakers beat the Celtics, seeing Rondo take the final 2 3 pointers, even hitting the first, taught me that is what happens late in big games. To win close games late you are forced to have your weakest scorer/shooter put up points. When the game is tight it's usually because the stars don't have it that night and/or the team is clamped down, and they get away with that clamp by allowing the weakest link to have to beat them. It's an age old strategy and the reason why teams with a lot of star power fail in the playoffs consistently. If you want to win in the NBA you need a minimum of 5 guys who can get buckets and open up the whole game. They don't have to be shooters, but they need to be a threat from wherever they play from. Otherwise it all comes down to Rondo chucking 3's under duress and your season is over.

8:40 lifelong celtics fan here and i remember watching that game. That dunk was NASTY. The couple years before the big 3 was really tough and when they got Allen and KG was just the perfect storm. The 3 guys just complimented each other so good and KG brought a defensive mentality to the entire team. We also had some great role players like Rondo, big baby, eddie house, Terry allen and leon Powe. I loved those teams!

The year before getting KG was my favorite year watching the Celtics. They only won like 18 games or something and Pierce was out most of the season, but watching Rondo just work magic and pass like I had never seen on my favorite team was really fun, and watching Perkins and Al Jefferson bang in the paint was beautiful to watch. They weren't a very good team, but they were so fun to watch and every win was like winning the championship.

Doc is a player's coach. He did well when he had the Celtics with guys like KG and Pierce and Allen who were vets that were dying to win and knew what they were doing. Philly needed a guy to be an X and O coach never they never had that (remember Brett Brown saying that putting 4 shooters around Embiid would be "too easy to guard").
