@@gerryendersen4718 Probably something that’s anti-fighter and anti-charmer like Clodsire. But do note that I’m basing this off of next seasons’ changes, where Clodsire is ranked 1 on pvpoke for the Great League, and is running Poison Sting instead of Mud Shot. If not, Shadow Drapion is a spicier option which still fulfils roughly the same role as Clodsire and has great pacing.

I'm personally excited to give Spiritomb with buffed Sucker Punch a try. It's kinda the yin to shadow sableye's yang, dark fast move opposed to sableye's ghost, ghost charged moves with now the opportunity for the (while much worse charged move lol) rock tomb coverage on Spiritomb as well. @@slimevl Then there’s basically no point buffing it at all. +1 is literally useless, like nothing that currently exists that has even a below average fast move would use Metal Claw… aside from Empoleon itself, but its still fallen completely out of the meta. Pokémon like Gfisk will still run Mud Shot, Registeel has Lock On, Alolan Slash has two other great fast moves, Ferrothorn has Bullet Seed etc. It is and still will be a garbage fast move. Everything else that has no better fast moves to choose from like Metang or Lairon are completely unviable. Nothing will ever use this move outside of extreme spice situations.

My Ultra League Florges runs DVoice and Psychic and she's been my MVP for as long as I've been playing UL. She beats everything except Skeledirge and Excadrill. The Fairy Wind pacing to DV is outrageous. EDIT: And every team runs either Tina, Poliwrath, Dragonite, or a random dragon, so she always has play.

It's almost like the old meta had the strong flying types running cover for the strong water types. If you wanted to counter the water types, grass was kind of risky because of the strong fliers so you'd have to use electric types (which aren't that great, and resisted by mudbois). I'm glad this got broken up a bit. But it looks like the new version of fish beats owl beats tree beats fish will involve fighting, fairy and steel/poison. I'm kinda stoked for next season

Poliwrath down. This is excellent. Just not enough good counters to it with the debuffing Icy Wind and ice dealing super-effective damage to one of its only weaknesses (grass), and scald being pretty neutrally oppressive to its other weaknesses. I found myself having to build teams to specifically counter Poliwrath (at least neutrally if nothing else), which limited the Pokemon I would even bring into battle. Variety is just more fun.

Even if I just started playing in April this year, and haven't had a chance to build many pokemons outside the current meta, I am excited to see how the changes play out. The only thing I am kind of frustrated about, is that I wasted the few charged TM's that I had to remove frustration from Pokemons that will be more or less useless in just a few weeks. So because I had to prioritize, my fairly high ranked Machamp still has frustration -just like me 😅 Hope to get another chance soon though. And off course, the joy of finally having enough candy to evolve and power up the high ranking Altaria didn't last for long 🙄 The struggle is real 😅

An XL mon is a Pokemon that requires xl candy to build. These candies allow you to build a pokemon to level 50 (instead of 40 which was the previous max) and is unlocked at lvl 30 iirx

XL candies are extremely hard to get en masse recommend doing the 2 guaranteed from evolving when it comes out this event, otherwise be on guard fr for them they are hard 😂

I've been using my Galarian Moltres already in UL anyway on a team with Cobalion on the lead and XL Galarian Weezing (4-4-4-4 now on Brutal Swing?!). Awesome to hear the entire team may be even better this season!

@@christianspencer354 I got mine through a guaranteed lucky trade - so it is 3*, not necessarily the best PvP IVs, but it made sure they weren't garbage. Definitely surprised to hear you got yours wild! The friend I traded with, when we got luck friends, we both has a Master Ball, and decided to do daily incense until we got Galarian birds, Master Ball them and make that our trade.
