Meet the New Volume Delta Indicators: Tutorial

Very good indicator, was looking at CRM chart, earnings next day it sold off red candle on the chart but the volume delta was GREEN, and Cum Delta was also GREEN for the week. Next day it ripped. Again for the Beginners, All indicators are just reference points, do not take trades just based on indicators, Understand the Price Action and Market Sentiment.

This indicator doesn't reflect the buying pressure at market orders & selling pressure at market orders which shows in order flow data

I TOOK time to compare both these indicators with data from other platforms and these two where the most inaccurate by large margin where other platforms were showing divergences these two where simply indicating continuation in the trend, i wouldn't recommend tradingview for any order flow trader simply because their market data is just too inaccurate yet data is what orderflow traders use to make decisions not just candle sticks

Hello, I had a question. Why does this indicator show a red candle, but in the premium version that I have, the volume foot print of the delta candle is green?

Actually i found a simple loopwhole around this problem. If you set the anchor period to 1 year wich is the maximum you have a OBV indicator that works for that period. You should edit the period to be indefinite and thus you could have an infine anchor time turning it into a regular OBV. I just don't have a setting for a longer (infine) anchor period than 1 years

seems Trading view has no answer for why the delta in this indicator is different from the delta in the footprint chart....Meaning both are not correct?

you guys rocks! I have a small question. Is there a series of indicators similar to this one, but with volume replaced by money/capital, meaning volume multiplied by price? maybe more advanced and diverse than the MFI. I saw this type of data called "capital trend" on a trading platform of a brokerage firm and found it very useful. Anyway, thank you for your excellent work!

WTF they stole my CVD indicator I made 5 years ago and didn't even give me credit. You're not even respecting your own House rules, nor the license that should oblige you to give me credit as the original author. If you guys have any question don't ask tradingview, ask ME, as i'm the one who created that script. They could've asked me 5 years ago to make the script adapted to a broader audience and you guys would've gotten it 5 years ago...

And as I said in my script, it's not a real CVD since we don't have the separate Bid/Ask volume. That's also why my indicator is called "Not really a CVD", because you cannot make one on tradingview. So calling it a CVD is pure lie...

​@@Yukiioz what a relief to read this comment. I've been exploring CVD recently and also realized that you can't really create an actual CVD or VD since you can't retrieve the buyer/seller volume. I thought I was stupid for not understanding it. Thanks for this comment bro

If I am not wrong these indicators are a part of Order flow analysis study. These are very valuable indicators. Do check on google or youtube about these indicators in context of order flow analysis to learn their interpretations. These indicators are not buy / sell indicators. They need to be analyzed and interpreted along with price movement.

I'm trying to understand the last volume delta candle where it was red and had that bottom wick. It is just like a candle? as in volume candle opened, sell volume increased, but then buy volume came in (hence the bottom wick), but it still ended up closing bearish

Interesting. Why don't you use the volume delta and make a New updated version of the OBV just like you did with the cumulative delta volume. You almost got there but stopped in the middle of the work 😂. If it cumulates and then subtracts it each time it closes in red then you have a on balance volume with Wicks! That would be cool! To have wicks on On balance volume. So please do try it, you're almost there!

CVD врет скорее всего. У меня программа кластерного анализа. Там данные другие по кумулятивной дельте. Пример. Для BTC на Binance давление покупателя началось с 25.12.23 принятие ETF. А по CVD 28.07.23. Тоже самое можно увидеть на Resonance (сайт кластерного анализа)

NVDA Volume pressure indicator for May 29 2024 = 557M total volume, out of which 80M sell, so the buy side would be 477M for that day, therefore your new volume delta indicator only shows negative 8, it doesn't make any sense

The content of this video is very misleading. It can be compared to baking a cherry pie where, only after reviewing the recipe [source code], you find out that there are no cherries in the pie, but a substitute is used instead. However, the name remains as "cherry pie.Although the pie might still taste good despite not containing cherries, the name should be corrected.

The calculation is totally wrong in this indicator & the CVD indicator.The programmer has no idea what delta is which is buy-sell orders.Both of the the indicators are using total volume instead of delta when compared to the footprint candle.I stopped using these indicators after I found out that and depends on other platforms for footprint charts.

Volume delta explanations always leave out what the delta actually is. When there's a surplus of buy orders what does it really mean? It means that that much of the transactions were made(matched) with sell limit orders. Remember, market orders are always matched(by players and/or market makers). There is no such thing as Outstanding market orders. Hence, again, if there was a surplus number of sell (market) orders(aka volume delta), it means that that much was met by buy limit orders. Which btw were below the market price at a certain point in time. Thus having caused a market price drop. There you have it. Now you have a good understanding of how the fck this mumbo jumbo works.
