Hey brobro, I've got an explanation incoming just for you. So the reason Kiritos avatar looks like that, is because the avatar you are most familiar with is actually how Kazutos' body looks in real life. If you go back and watch episode 1 season 1 of SAO, you can make note of the in game items they received from the Game master (mirrors) in the town square, this item forced thier in game avatars to look like thier real bodies. Thusly the avatar you see here that looks wrong is a result of kiritos 'created' look before the game forced players to take on thier real life appearance. Hope this helped 🙏

Well contrary to the finished version of SAO, they had to create an Avatar for the Beta, in fact Kirito used this Avatar in the finished game too, but because of the mirror item he and everyone else got his Avatar changed to his real face in the middle of Episode 1

In Defense of Kirito: A summary of usual talking points and their rebuttals. 1. Kirito hates being called "The Black Swordsman", it's not a title he wants. 2. Kirito does not have a romantic interest in anyone besides Asuna. 3. None of Kirito's friends have shown romantic interest in him besides Liz, Sugu, and partially Alice, and I will get through all of the girls and their defenses for "being around kirito" because to some of y'all think they need an excuse to hangout with a guy friend? Lizbeth- Lizbeth was a shut-in who recently lost her entire guild Moonlit Black Cats style to the same type of trap. Kirito got her out of her house and took her on an adventure, she was looking for something to attach herself to and thought she found it, but she stepped down when she was informed that Asuna was pursuing Kirito at the time. Silica- She's 2 years younger than Kii-boy, she sees him as an older mentor-type figure, we see her thoughts in the recent novels where she emulates his thinking and commanding styles during a largescale operation. Suguha- She was a literal 15yo child who couldn't understand her feelings which is made obvious by the way she treats Recon. Kirito doesn't encourage this and Sugu moves past this realizing her naivity. Sinon- A friend that Kirito bonded with over traumas, she is often making crued/teasing jokes, such as the excalibur speach or when she accused Asuna of using Kii's heart monitor as an anti-cheating device. She's not flirting, that's just her humor because who doesn't know a traumatized girl with the weird humor? Alice- Kirito was the only thing she "sort-of" knew outside of the Cathedral. To her, as a Knight, she had to believe that Kirito was the highest authority she could serve or else she would feel as though she is misusing her life. Alice has revealed a lot about how she believes herself to be an imposter in her own body, she believes that she must continue to move on as a Knight or else the sacrifice that was Alice Zuberg was in-vain. She took care of this highest authority but was never in-love with him. The scene in the anime where their faces are really close was supposed to be her looking into his eyes for life, the anime just conveyed it weird. She does respect him as he did save most of the population from being turned into sword golems, so she wants to follow and serve as a knight, which is why she was so angry that she couldn't have stayed and fought when he was fighting Gabriel. MORE defenses of Kirito. Growing up, Kirito didn't trust much men or even interact wuth them. His adoptive father was almost never around and he was beat by his grandfather for skipping Kendo lessons. He was at one point very close to his mother and sister but when he found he was adopted he seperated himself from them. He began to decline into the culture of online games, seeing himself as someone different and being able to explore more. When SAO started, he found himself facing his real mindset, his own real identity. He kept trying to apply his game-logic to his actions like "girls in games are hard to talk to" and things such as that, but that later changes. Kirito meets Asuna on a whim, saving her life and making an excuse that he was saving her "map data", he then went on to meet Kizmel and many more people. It's at this point where Kirito's personality starts to show more as he is extremely comfortable talking to women, he grew up around women and most of his teen years were in SAO conversing with Asuna, Kizmel and the like. Sure he would make a few guy friends, but it's easier for him to talk to girls because that's what he's known most of his life. His main friend group his age are girls, his first real friend in the beta was a girl, Argo. The reason he approached Leafa in ALO was because he was more comfortable talking to women and elves, something the Sylph checked both boxes of. With Fanatio this comes full circle as we see Kirito's progress as the self-proclaimed mysoginist in the first progressive book to full on "You are beautiful queen" in Alicization. Another big point is that one scene where he tanks the Titan's Hand member's attacks. Well, he's a frontrunner for the highest floor, they're several floors below, where he's fighting a guild who's barely leveled for the floor they're standing on. Of course he's going to tank it, although it's a lot less flamboyant in the novel. Another anti-Kirito message a lot of people spread is a supposed "lack of personality", which isn't the case at all. The only difference between Kirito and whatever other edgy OP MC you want to name is Kirito doesn't want to be flamboyant or in the spotlight, he genuinely cares about people. He has flaws, like his self-hatred and self-imposed heroism, sometimes he's a bit too the point and sometimes he's a little too silly. He's well rounded as an average guy who is willing to work hard to protect what he cares about, that's what everyone wants to strive to be, but he's not perfect like people imply. He's too easy to blame himself when something goes wrong, or shoulder the blame for others, he's too willing to jump into situations he knows little about. He is overprotective, getting up at ungodly hours just to lap a castle looking for ways an enemy force might come from, or weaknesses in defences. He does these things on whims, without caring what others think. I'm pretty sure I'm still missing a couple thousand other points people have made jabbing Kii-boy. OH YEAH, okay boy genius tech thing, his mom works for a tech magazine, he gets most of what he knows from her and does normal computer stuff for the most part, reminder that he plans to work with Kikuoka and RATH in the future. Also, Kirito "God-Eyes thing". Essentually what happens is called "proto-incarnation", basically you overwhelm the nervegear with a single command until it has no choice but to issue it. This got sort-of retconned in Progressive where it became tied to the Meditation Awakening skill that Kirito earns for thinking about Asuna for three hours straight. Basically, this enhanced focus state activates the skill, which turns your eyes gold but also may have some other effect but that hasn't been fully revealed yet, all we know is Kirito used it to get out of paralysis like Asuna did in the final fight against Heathcliff. Speaking of Incarnation, it's the super ultra op king powers Kirito got in War of Underworld. Essentually, you think the code, the code works, except there's some shortcuts sometimes. Anyway, this has been nerfed in the novels with anti-incarnate weaponry, so there's no need to keep calling him way too op, although he is kind of up there but not more abnormally than any other anime protag. Also, the claim that Kirito was overpowerd in Aincrad is kind of dumb, any time we see Kirito fight against someone on the frontline level, he's usually on-par or beaten back easily. He lost against Asuna in a duel, we all know about the Heathcliffe fight, oh btw the anime portrayed that weird too. Instead of it being like a weird high speed movement where Heathcliff's shield blocked his sword, it was like a frame-cut, where his shield suddenly teleported to the right place from being to the side of him. Defense of Kirito 😅😅😅 People have this weird idea where women liking the same guy and him friend zoning all but the one he set his eyes on is somehow bad 😂😂😂 but I guess it helps the idea that he is friendzones and gets friendzoned by most of his harem... For Lizbeth and Sinon and Sugaha...stepping down doesn't change anything...not knowing your feelings cuz young is fake news IRL logic...and so does Sinon being mean is just bully love... Maybe canonically those are reasons to wave away them falling in love... But once you fall in love that's like an chemical addiction and sure you can go cold turkey but you'll always get some throbbing heart feeling no matter how you "think" opposite... 😂😂😂 If you admire and respect and Kirito fits everything a gamer girl would want...they will love him and tho they can give up...since they are always with him and reminded of what they loved about him... They will always get that twitching feeling even if they know they got no chance... 😅 In other words...Kirito probably is canonically defended...but the writing is shit...and the writer probably never felt true falling in love and heart break... @meh6513 No one "falls in love" that fast, even in anime. No, none of them fell in love with Kirito, Asuna fell in love with Kirito over their months travelling together in early Aincrad. Suguha did not fall in love with Kirito, she believed what she was feeling was romantic love but ut was not. Sinon is not in love with Kirito and never had been, he is a friend that helped her in a tough spot. Lizbeth, as I stated was looking for something to attatch herself to, assuming Kirito would be a safe option for her to hang onto because of his strength. None of this is "falling in love". Your arguement relies on the false assumption that love/true-love is something inherent that cannot be disbanded. This is false, love is a bond with differing varieties of relationships. Friends can have love for one another, as sibling have familial love for one another. It's a decision to put those who you deem "loved" by you before yourself. Your idea of what love is, is toxic and disturbing. It is possible for people to fall out of love too, but in the long run love is still a decision. Not everyone interacting with Kirito has fallen in love with him, Lizbeth was crushing on him, and Sugu crushed on the Alfheim Kirito, not knowing it was Kazuto. If it was written that they all had truly fallen in love with him, that would be shit, thankfully that is not the case.

@Iosaef if they truly respect and admire so much that he pivotal to their life...and continuously in their life get a much more fulfilling life through his actions and decisions I'm sure they have entertained the thought of what their life would be had they had him for themselves... Crushing is falling in love until something shatters it...many times being taken is enough... Sometimes it's not that simple especially when he means that much to them and they seemingly the harem circle does interact much in Alfheim house quite a bit although platonically... What I'm describing is just hard truth of love and that it's dumb to brush their crushes as some stupid shit you are spouting or the paraphrasing from the writer... Love is very simple and that's in the eye of the beholder not some outside party...if they crush and they admit meeting him is truly a pivot point in their life and bro is a gamer boi I'm sure had the writer not been so shit, the love would be more realistic...but if you want to say love and heartbreak don't have a 1:1 withdrawal symptoms of chemical dependence...you are a child or at least inexperienced with love... at least to the autistic analysis I found consistent with love in my life and how some relationships that have love can be wholesome and others abusive...and yet they still "fall in love" not whatever idealistic love concept you romanticize about 🤪🤪🤪

They are his friends, they stick with him because they all play video games together, there's no other reason, they don't need a reason other than being friends with someone. Your own sultry ideas of what love is takes away from the ideas presented in the story. You speak of the writing being terrible because they aren't heartbroken over him? That's just not the point of the story. Each early arc uses Kirito's pov as a background to the story the girl is facing. You say so much about the writing being bad, have you even read any of the material? Do you understand what I say when I tell you that they are not in love with him, and even though Liz did crush on him she is not in love with him. Not everyone is a loser who can't get over their crush. I may not be the oldest or most wise, but I've had my fair share of romantic partners and crushes. Normal people get over it. This is a defence of Kirito's character in the SAO series based on facts from the novels, you decide to invalidate the authors message and ideals by claiming that your perception of what love is doesn't align to how the characters act, and deem the writing bad. It's a stupid stance to take, and I mean that deeply. I don't think you're a bad person, but I do think that your perception of love is broken, get some therapy and stop trashing on someone's story because it doesn't align to your personal ideals.

The point of Suguha's arc in Fairy Dance WAS that she didn't understand what she was feeling, that was the point of the story. She was broken and she finally had her brother back but didn't know how to act or feel about it. She was able to come to the conclusion that she loved her older brother, as her older brother during their duel before the yggdrasil fight. 3. Your original points beyond this are tied to your own beliefs, and are addressed above.
