Streamlined Liquefied natural gas (LNG) terminal permitting and allowed long-term LNG export authorizations to be extended through 2050. The United States is now among the top three LNG exporters in the world. Increased LNG exports five-fold since January 2017, reaching an all-time high in January 2020. LNG exports are expected to reduce the American trade deficit by over $10 billion. Granted more than 20 new long-term approvals for LNG exports to non-free trade agreement countries. The development of natural gas and LNG infrastructure in the United States is providing tens of thousands of jobs, and has led to the investment of tens of billions of dollars in infrastructure. There are now 6 LNG export facilities operating in the United States, with 2 additional export projects under construction. The amount of nuclear energy production in 2019 was the highest on record, through a combination of increased capacity from power plant upgrades and shorter refueling and maintenance cycles. Prevented Russian energy coercion across Europe through various lines of effort, including the Partnership for Transatlantic Energy Cooperation, civil nuclear deals with Romania and Poland, and opposition to Nord Stream 2 pipeline. Issued the Presidential Permit for the A2A railroad between Canada and Alaska, providing energy resources to emerging markets. Increased access to our country’s abundant natural resources in order to achieve energy independence. Renewable energy production and consumption both reached record highs in 2019. Enacted policies that helped double the amount of electricity generated by solar and helped increase the amount of wind generation by 32 percent from 2016 through 2019. Accelerated construction of energy infrastructure to ensure American energy producers can deliver their products to the market. Cut red tape holding back the construction of new energy infrastructure. Authorized ethanol producers to sell E15 year-round and allowed higher-ethanol gasoline to be distributed from existing pumps at filling stations. Ensured greater transparency and certainty in the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) program. Negotiated leasing capacity in the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to Australia, providing American taxpayers a return on this infrastructure investment. Signed an executive order directing Federal agencies to work together to diminish the capability of foreign adversaries to target our critical electric infrastructure. Reformed Section 401 of the Clean Water Act regulation to allow for the curation of interstate infrastructure. Resolved the OPEC (Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries) oil crisis during COVID-19 by getting OPEC, Russia, and others to cut nearly 10 million barrels of production a day, stabilizing world oil prices. Directed the Department of Energy to use the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to mitigate market volatility caused by COVID-19.

Why are the perceived problems in the US today the fault of the democrats? Housing costs went up when the GOP was in charge. Raising the interest rate didn't make the housing rates go up. In all fairness, it is economically a great thing to be making some change on savings accounts. High costs at the grocery store is concerning, but - we can make do and make changes around what we purchase for a while. And the price at the pump? Time for the public to adjust if they think the price is too high! Simple people... Drive your gas guzzler less. The government can only do so much. I could live if gasoline was ten dollars a gallon, but I do not want to live in a non-democratic country and have to hear people like Trump and Lake yell every day, while they can freely live their self-serving lives, taking from the American people. Neither has the ability to lead all of the citizens. We can only Vote Blue and hope Trumpery goes away.

You just explained why the problems in the country are the fault of Democrats. You don't care if inflation lowers the standard of living by 3-5 % a year, you won't drill for more oil so you drive up costs for gasoline to the point that people can't afford other purchases, again reducing the standard of living. You could live if gasoline is $10 a gallon, but most others are not willing to commit economic suicide in a quixotic quest to 'save the planet'. This is why the Dems will be swept from office in 2022, and likely also in 2024, especially if Ron DeSantis is our nominee (only Trump could blow it).

"Housing CRASH"?? Chuck Todd slips in a panic phrase so smoothly~ We are NOT having a housing 'crash'. Interest rates have increased rapidly in June and then again in September, SLOWING the incredibly rapid velocity of real estate transactions caused by the pandemic migration, back to normal. March 2020 thru June 2022 was the busiest time in my 45 years of real estate! And now it is slowing down enough so that more buyers who can afford the higher interest rates have less buyers to compete with for a home, and thus less overbidding for properties pushing the prices up. This cools the prices and appreciation rates. Sellers who priced their homes at the top of the market before June have found it necessary to reduce their prices now, in order to sell. That's NOT a 'CRASH'. The safeguards put in place after the 'great' recession prevent any 'crash' in real estate this time around. We may be in a recession, but if you paid $500,000 for your home in 2020, you wouldn't sell it for less right now, unless you were in dire straits, now, would you? Of course not! Pundits and columnists continue to make the same mistake over and over again; but real estate is NOT a stock. You have control over what you do with your property, and you can live in it. Thank heavens for that. If you can afford your fixed rate mortgage payment, whether your home increases or temporarily decreases (and decreases are ALWAYS temporary) in value, your payment remains the same, and you still have a roof over your head. Safe as houses.

The Fed plans on raising interest rates (again) which will likely/eventually result in higher unemployment. The full effects take 12 to 18 months to be felt. Unemployment means that some people, those that lose their jobs, won't be able to pay their mortgage, fixed rate or not, especially those that maxed out their mortgage as a percentage of income. Unfortunately, borrowers sometimes max out their home purchase and have little savings upon which to rely. House rich, but cash poor. You know this. Add in credit card debt, personal loans, student debt, etc. and you have a crisis. Forced sales beget more forced sales, and it can become a crash. Not saying it will, but it could - once again. Rates were too low for too long. Trump is to blame because he wanted the stock market to go up and up and up. He had his Fed Chairman Powell issuing money, through "quantitative easing," the money supply went up 40% in 2020. That's unsustainable and very damaging. We now have a massive bubble to unwind, without real GDP growth. People are tired of this. I sense something will happen with this next Congress and it probably won't be good.
