I live in South africa and here it is even more expensive I paid close to $6000 for mine and do not even mention the price of resin here.. And we earn a lot less then in the US but it still is profitable for me as this printer has paid for itself over and over again . I do need the high resolution of the printer and the castable resin it can print. The closest rival to this machine granted it is a better machine is $ 10000 more expensive

I think they are going to justify this design choice by saying that the cartridge system keeps only what you absolute need while printings but this is merely a way to lock you into buying their resin just like the inkjet printers everyone gits to act like their ink is special and it reflect in the price. This is an evil we should not embrace

@Koushi829 жыл бұрын
this is why rep rap for 3d printers was made to compete with everyone else in the industry open source. The only reason why costs will ever come down is if people can do it themselves if not then monopolies form and force prices up. WE ARE the competition that lowers the prices of goods and services. IF you can do it yourself they have to lower the prices to entice you to be lazy and use their service. DO people get it yet? LEARN skills to do it yourselves and everyone benefits. Stop being a lazy bum like the average ahem....______ insert word.

5 жыл бұрын
it's not SLA - it's DLP :-) ... DLP is cheaper, but quality is slightly lower (still very good) than laser based printing. You can see layers on DLP printed objects, because LCD displays has some pixel resolution, and this resolution is limiting print quality.

@juanjuarez4909 жыл бұрын
Supply & Demand Also, just because someone can just "build one themselves," doesn't mean it's price should be lowered. lol. Technically, that terrible argument can be applied to anything sold in the market. haha.

This printer is an absolute disaster for commercial use. We've been using it in our business for 1 year now and have trouble with it every 2 or 3 weeks: tanks not recognized, cartrdiges not recognized, non adherance to the build platform. We also had to have the optical system recalibrateDon't get me wrong: when it prints it does a fantastic job, but this machine has some serious reliability issues... We're going to look for another (proffesional) brand.
