Meet The Stormgate Animancer

In today's stormgate casted game we see the stormgate celestial armada versus the stormgate vanguard faction on the stormgate map broken crown hinterlands.
It was a great stormgate match featuring many of the stormgate celestial armada units and their various abilities.

The game is so damn good the people have all forgotten it’s in beta. No tier 3 or doodads or lighting effects have even been put in yet. This game is already slapping and is going to slap so much harder

I completely agree. this game is going to revive the rts genre like no other game can. especially once custom games and co-op and everything else planned is actually put in. plus, a possible 4th faction. so I really don't understand the hate when the devs are actively engaging and listening to its community which is such a refreshing take.

@@dreg7305 I do. It's been shown off too early. The graphics look rather bad, though they are getting a little better now, and it definitely lacked some cool factor. I think they were too eager, but I also think they have to be due to funding issues. It's quite clear that Frost Giant are trying desperately hard to avoid taking investor money or becoming publicly traded because their experience as both Westwood and Blizzard has told them the story of how dangerous that is.

One thing people have yet to mention, visibility! Every ability every unit casts is very visible & easy to notice, even if a lot is happening at once. This means that I don't get confused as to what is happening on big battlefields! The devs have done a good job on that, for the beta.

i prefer green health bars for sure! Thats what I am used to after 20000 games of sc2 😅

Green healtbars are hardcoded in my brain as "if this is gone the unit dies" while blue and red are associated with some sort of energy bar. I'd prefer green.

Green health bars for for space, brown, and darker colour map palettes. Player Colour for green map palettes.

4:53, only one prism working. I don't know why is so difficult to see it in game. the prism should change it color, an animation or something. Also the start is really suboptimal. the play of therium first give more resources the first 1.5 minutes, but fall off hard. before that, it should be luminite prism luminite (or 3 prism), move prism to therium, then 2 "barracks", update and then duo production of vectors to 4 and go to the map to do something. dog is annoying but it takes like 5 minutes to kill a luminite thingy.

I think player color health bars will make it easier, would love to see them. The animancer looks good but it still seems like celestial needs some sort of late game powerhouse unit. They have no tanks front line to break through atlas vulcans.

yep, but there is still no t3 units so there is no late game to either of the players. rolling kris as a back stab are really good against atlas, even vectors if you have enough apm. think like zerglings to siege tanks. you only need to keep pressure in the front with sabers so vulkans have to separate from the atlas. celestials army is like zerg's: multi prong convergence is overwhelming. vanguard is the strongest by design as every unit has a clear offensive style heavily dependent of positioning and brute power. if it connects, vanguard wins. but their positioning is weak, weaker than the saber, but the saber has reliable damage, so a stalemate favor celestials/sabers over time. the thing right now is that only Parting (and maybe 2 more players, but top 10 player where 5 partings, so who knows xD) can use celestial at the level that their active abilities can be better than just brute force.

Not gonna lie Zerospace looks better and that’s disappointing I was expecting better from former blizzard devs.
