That was absolutely awful to hear and think about. It happens so much more often than we think and I just can't stomach it. I'm so glad she could keep Snowy. They are identical, just different colors, but even the different colored spot is in the same area and shaped the same.

I personally fear something like this happened with my rescue. She had clearly been through quite a few pregnancies but we never saw any. Once her litter that we were sure about were born I went into our neighbors yard and stole them. They didn’t deserve her or any of her little puppers. She had 6 great puppies and after they were old enough to be adopted out she was fixed. We keep two of them and now they annoy her constantly with their play fighting.

I found a weeks-old puppy who'd had its rear leg bitten off. He owned me for sixteen years before passing two years ago. His leg injury was identical to Kizzy, and my biggest regret was not getting the rest of the leg amputated. The weight has a big impact on their spine as the years pass. By the time the problems "show," it's too late to do anything about it. My old boy could run like the wind, and showed no discomfort until his old age. I urge anyone faced with this decision to find a vet who understands about the potential problems. Some owners are squeamish, but believe me, you will be doing the dog a favor.

22:25 When a dog has cancer it’s a very hard decision to decide to go through with kemo or radiation. My 11 year old bloodhound had a cancerous tumor in his nose and because he was in his nose there wasn’t an option to remove it. We chose to not do radiation because of the risk he could lose his sense of smell. Going to the park and tracing scents was one of his favorite things to do and we couldn’t take that from him. When he was diagnosed we were told he had weeks to live but he was a strong boy and he lived for another 3 months. For some people it’s the right decision and for some it isn’t but I am glad that the kemo has helped this dog and family

Em is just the sweetest dog! I lost my first dog 4 years ago after his failing heart finally quit. He was on so many medications, overnight hospital stays, and also had gone blind a few years earlier. He had the best attitude through all of it, though. Animals are the bravest, toughest, most amazing souls. Always looking out for their families, even when they themselves are hurting. My boy had been with me through a marriage, babies, a divorce and later remarriage and another baby. We moved to another state, got a puppy friend for him, and he was by my side through everything. I don’t think I’ll ever stop missing him. My heart goes out to Em’s mommy and daddy!

Scott is just incredibly passionate and kind to everyone, animals and humans alike. And I really loved how he spoke to that vet student, letting her know to be honest if she was feeling any bad way and to just let them know then go sit, don't run away. Very calm, very realistic and just a nice guy. How you're treated while training really makes or breaks you and I bet Scott is the reason why there are some good vets in the world who weren't "broken" off the start.

Dr. Scott reminds me a lot of my new vet Dr. Carrie. She is very compassionate like he is, and both are very smart. I wish Dr. Scott, little lovely Betty, and his staff the very best! My vet and her staff are still seeing pets during the coronavirus which I am so thankful for since my cat has kidney failure. They worked up a system where you stay in your car and they take your animal into the practice and bring it back out when they are finished. I'm an activity director at a nursing home and my time and mind are consumed with that right now during the coronavirus, so I'm thankful that I know my kitty is in the best care and I don't need to worry about that.

I have a 3 legged labrador that we found on the side of a road near death. We spent 3 hours with him trying to get a rescue to come get him. The vet was shocked he survived. He was shot with buck shot in his right hind and was running around like that for at least a year. They determined that because the entire leg bone rotted away and they just removed tissue and muscle of the remaining leg. And days before we found him someone shot him with bird shot, too. They removed as much of it as possible but he still has some in his body. We've had him for 5 years now and I still can't wrap my head around someone doing that to him, the pain he went through and how he is still one of the most affectionate dogs I've ever known. All he wants is love and to be cuddled.

I knew when I was still single digits in age that I would never have human children. I planned on being a veterinarian but that never worked out yet my deep love and relationship with animals has continued since I was very young to the point where I feel more comfortable and more safe in relationships with animals than people. The few people I let into my life MUST love animals and have respectful and compassionate towards them. We need to be more caring and more respectful of the fellow beings with whom we share this planet. They were here before we were and they deserve better!!!!

Scott, his family and friends have me hooked. They obviously care about each and every animal, it shows in what they say, do and feel (usually their faces). Looking forward to many more adventures with this bunch!!!!! Wish I had known you all had nurses in your vet clinics (we didn't in USA 30 years ago), I would have switched from nurse in operating room for people to operating room for pets! Nurse Emma is awesome (as are all of them).

I know what it feels like to lose an animal to cancer. I lost my best friend Nicky which is was a saint Bernard. He died when I was still in elementary. He was diagnosed with bone cancer. When I found out he passed away with bone cancer I was devastated. But I always wanted to be a vet when I was a little girl. But one thing that I really do hate to do and would be hard for me to do is putting down a dog. I love watching the videos of vet on the hill. I almost watched all of the episodes and seasons.

I lost the canine love of my life to Hemangiosarcoma. His spleen ruptured, and he had a major surgery; he was given a month by the vet team. They told me it was too widespread, and that chemo would be useless. They said that it is not a painful cancer, so I took him home and gave him love, organic beef, treats, toys and a few hours before he quietly passed away in my arms, he was playing in the snow in Central Park, exactly how a Husky should be. I only had 3 weeks with him.
