It’s nice to see the creativity and wonderfully tied flies from these people. I do lean towards functional flies just tied well and for that it’s hard to beat, Dave McPhail, Vladimir Petrovic (Oholi’s flies), Cheech from fly fish food, Tim Flagler, Gordon Van der Spuy, Barrie Ord Clarke. There are also a lot of tiers in the Nordics look at anything about sea trout in the Baltic and you’ll also see some great flies tied by great fishers. So yeah the finished article form the people in this list are exceptional, if you want to look at beautiful flies then perfect. If you want to tie great flies take a loom at the people listed here all have KZbin content and or books.

That was really fun. I personally would love to see some studio story stuff. Not a deep dive necessarily but I love hearing why people have and keep things that they have in their "cave of wonders" (kids were big Aladin fans). You have a whole Hollywood Squares of interesting stuff. Not prying but you get it. Might be a fun couple of snippets...

I was with you until the last guy, but I'm a practical guy. Although I can appreciate the work that went into those fantasy flies it's just not my cup of tea. The other thing is I'd have to have an instagram account and I don't see that happening. I spend enough time on youtube. Keep the good stuff coming Brian.

There’s a lot of tiers out there you can be impressed by. Since my social media disappearance act I have been brought back into the streamer cult by my buddy because I tie great streamers. I have been playing with musky flies lately and some of the guys I have sent pics to have to be breaking down doors to get a hand on them.
