The song isnt about Louis. Its about his victims. Lestat is singing about being a vampire. That's the whole premise behind him being a rock star. His songs are leaking the secrets of their kind.

Lestat is making Daniel choke because he glanced at the contents of the book told from Louis' POV. Lestat is going to give his spin on the story. You should read the book "The Vampire Lestat." There are some humorous moments in the book. His rockstar persona is fascinating. The executive producers hinted at more than one concert performance (the book covers only one). I am excited to see the full rockstar Lestat in season 3.

I haven't read the books either. I've only seen the IWTV movie and this TV series. I didn't think I would be excited about Rockstar Lestat. I always thought Stuart Townsend did better than Tom Cruise at catching Lestat's sensual side. Sam, though? That's Lestat. I'm curious about the casting of Akasha and Enkil.
