Beautiful in every way. Side note: While at the Avalon Airshow a few years ago was looking at the GS's from outside and one of the staff asked me would I like a tour? I explained that the aircraft was a "bit" out of my reach and I didn't want to be a waste of time for him. No problem he said and invited me anyway. Got the full tour, was shown respect, answered all my questions, what a great bloke and brand.

So, you must have worked for Grumman Gulfstream when it was on Long Island, right and before moving to Savannah? I worked for Gulfstream in Procurement for less than 6 months in early 1992 and hated it. My boss was a former secretary named Brenda Greenway who was reputed to have slept around to move up in the company and was, without a doubt one of the dumbest people I've ever had the misfortune to report to. My day-to-day supervisor was a retired US Army LT COL helicopter pilot who had zero procurement experience and proved it every day. I was relieved when they terminated me and couldn't wait to leave Savannah.

@@paulconnors2078 I started in Feb. of '73 which was shortly after the move to Savannah. Do I smell sour grapes? The Brenda Greenway I knew was one of the nicest people you could meet. And those stories you spoke of are just that, stories from jealous people like you.

I'm sceptical about the transition to virtual buttons and knobs. These couldn't be used under bad visibility conditions oder strong vibrations or forces.

Let me refer you to a video that explains how this cockpit can do exactly what you are skeptical about. It shows the G600 model (the predecessor to the G700). The video goes in depth about how the engineers implemented multiple different features to make sure that you are always pushing the right buttons, including handles for stabilization. kzbin.info/www/bejne/aWnSqWBtgrR4ibM

I did a comparison of the Gulfstream G700 and the Bombardier Global 8000, and they are pretty much identical in terms of performance. Both achieve the same speed of MACH 0.925, but the Global 8000 has a slightly longer range of 7,900 NM, compared to the 7,500 NM of the G700.

No, you'll be able to fly for about $25k from "net jets" or similar companies. Nearly every "corporate jet" you see any more is not owned by one company. And it's definitely not owned by a rapper. It's a rental.
