Meet 'Unbreakable Rusya,' the woman helping war amputees in Ukraine

Ruslana Danilkina's life changed when a bomb made her an amputee. Now, the Ukrainian uses her own experience to help others. Scripps News' Jason Bellini met up with Danilkina last September in Kyiv, just six months after losing her leg, and she says she has been training ever since as she prepares to run in the capital’s annual marathon.

Fabulous woman ! Sadly,though,there will be many more like her needed after this appalling war. Ordinary people suffer to keep the "elites" in power,and ironically, it is due to conflict that many more amputees survive,and prosthetic limbs have evolved to what they are today. Horrible crazy world sometimes,but thank God for people like Rusya to remind us of our common humanity ! 💖

As an amputee this gives you credibility that able bodied doctors nurses and therapists simply don't have. "You are in the club", and the military branch at that. Don't underestimate the moral authority you have and how this helps you help others. Go for it. Good Luck
