You mean Vlade Divac - A Hall of Famer and two time World Champion?? Very disrespectful to base his career on a trade for a teenager Kobe Bryant.

@FrederickFokker4 жыл бұрын
I know you're giving respect to Vlade (and he sure as hell deserves respect) but picking him over Shaq AKA Godzilla is a bit of a stretch. I mean the NBA changed the rules of the game (zone defense) because Shaq was unstoppable. The reason every NBA game is now a 3 point shooting contest is because of the change to zone defenses, and the reason we have zone D is because of Shaq. Not trying to start shit, just saying...Vlade and Shaq were not interchangeable. A better comparison would be taking Vlade over a toxic piece of shit like Dwight Howard.

You can't really blame the Hornets. They had just lost Larry Johnson to free agency. So, do they go with a veteran 7ft center at a position of need, or do they take a chance on a young 18-19 year old straight out of high school who has yet to prove himself in the NBA? I don't fault the Hornets at all for that trade. Very few predicted that Kobe would be the player that he would eventually become.
