Great innovation, but there will be challenges launching these glasses in Europe as advertised, I am excited to see if they implement the forward facing cameras with out breaching privacy policies. I fear glasses being launched with different versions for different markets due to privacy & security regulations.

I don't know if is just me or if the comments are just filled with positive bots, I mean this is surely impressive tech, but these are also bulky and they look like robocop, if these were to be worn might be just my opinion, but they should look like just regular glasses, which is not the case, maybe next versions will improve it? Also all those hand gestures... they don't seem to be very natural the user experience seems to be forced.. anyone remembers kinect? it was very painful to navigate xbox with hands and arms. Don't get me wrong, I understand that is a real engineering challenge to make these things work and to actually fit all of that on a pair of glasses, is just that these are not just there yet.

Excellent technology - relevant technology put into use here. The REAL question is what about data entry?! All we're seeing is navigation and enabling and disabling objects here. Yes it's a prototype but I think data input is the REAL challenge and breakthrough ... without it and this coming to consumer market it'll ONLY be used heavily for the top end geeks or the filthy rich to brag about it. Looking forward to seeing much more!

Text entry is one of my main questions about gesture control. It will be much better to have non-voice approaches to text entry since it will be cumbersome to handle text through voice, especially editing text. Smartphones have already an elegant solution with this in virtual keyboards. So it will be better if AR glasses will include AR keyboards or something similar in their functionalities to enter and deal with text.

All we want is a simple 1080p camera and dual mic for vlogging Xiaomi but this is good, really outstanding. But a cheaper version of what I just asked could be a real problem solver.
