Thank you so much for making these videos. I've made one simple drop-shoulder sweater on my USM, but wanted to try set-in sleeves. Couldn't find the proper way to bind-off for the armscye on the bond web-site. Found this video on my first youtube search. I'm very impressed with how clear and easy to follow it is. Your explanations help me understand how and WHY to do the procedures. I can see exactly what you are doing, and your voice is clear and pleasant.

Thank you Carol. I'm glad they help you. You also might try the Finishing 101 video. Even though it's for hand-knitting, many things can be adapted to the machine including creating and sewing in a set-in sleeve.

I don't even own a Bond machine, just a Brother, and I'm enthralled by these videos. I'm learning so much--not just about machine knitting, but about teaching!

Good Grief Nina! I just now found this comment. I use regular worsted weight wool for the most part. The machine likes that weight very much. I always recommend Knitting Today as a source of tools and accessories for the BOND. (Sorry it took so long to answer!)

Cheryl I love your videos! Your instructions are clear and easy to follow. I just got a incredible sweater machine and was looking for instruction videos and was happy to find that you teach that too. Where were these videos filmed? It looks like Washington state. Thanks for the tutorials!

Yes. The videos were filmed in the old farmhouse built by my ex-husband's great-grandparents in 1892. Our son, their great-great grandson, and his family now live there.

@@CherylBrunetteTV I grew up in Olympia, so I recognized the landscape and climate. That is awesome that your son has gotten to keep a part of his heritage and history. I'll bet the old place is beautiful! Thank you for your response!

Is the waste yarn at the beginning not going to be part of your real sweater ? I am getttg a knit machine . TY for help

No. Think of it as a giant stitch holder for a provisional cast on . . . a cast on that has live sts.

Hi Ms Brunette: can you please tell me how to make an earflap hat for a toddler on the bond knitting machine
@CherylBrunetteTV7 жыл бұрын
Hi TL. There are different ways to do this. I suggest you look up free patterns for such a hat, both by hand and machine, a make a little diagram of the placement and shape you need to make. You would not use the big weight for such a small piece, just a claw weight. If you're a member of the USM group on Facebook you can access this hat pattern: facebook.com/notes/ultimate-sweater-machine-knitters/ear-flap-hat/552731314743807/
