Quite bizarre how someone can move to another country as an adult and become a parliamentarian there. While obviously still have her main focus on her country of origin.

I believe she’s a Labour Party MP of the United Kingdom

@@Coco-tm8ju I know. But she came from China as an adult and wrote a book about China.

I could have sworn she said she came with her parents when she was four but was posted as a FT reporter to work there for a while when she was an adult. In any event you’re right, the book and her MP duties appear to be intriguingly juxtaposed

@christianwestling2019 She's a UK citizen. She was democratically elected. That's literally all that matters. What is the problem here? That she was an FT journalist? That she was born in China? You sound like a paranoid fantasist.

@@peter9162 The problem is that she identifies as chinese. Its utterly bizarre that someone with dual citizenship and dual loyalties can be elected to parliament.

How exactly is she "breaking barriers" when there are countless schemes for "minorities" i.e children of immigrants who made a free choice to move to another country? She's literally had every single door held wide open for her. This would NEVER happen to immigrants in China. And if a foreigner dares say anything even slightly critical about that neurotic country, they go beserk. She might like to try putting herself in the shoes of the native working class her party was supposed to have been set up to serve. But no, she's the type that prioritises other "minorities" Quite obviously her loyalties lie in China - that's why she wrote a book about it, that's why she gets very sensitive when anyone talks about de-risking - because she doesn't want China to lose any productive capacity. Seriously, I wouldn't trust her with a barge pole.

relax it is just marketing, setting a good example to young "minorities". She is well connected though via Adair Turner and speaking at Bilderberg
