This is a project that's been a long time coming, from both my end and Monica's (Nintendrawer) end. We've been wanting to make a dub of this comic back when she was still working on it years ago, and now that the entire comic is finished, we're going to make that dream a reality.

There are a few inaccuracies that I, as an Italian, must address. For starters, where’s the rest of the family, packed around the dinner table like sardines and chatting and laughing obnoxiously loud? The endless platters of pasta and other food? The parents constantly shoving more food in your face, not letting anyone leave hungry? And you forgot the #1 rule of Italian dinners-NO ONE leaves without taking at least 5 doggie bags worth of leftovers home!

I’ve watched these Nintendrawer comics for years… and it’s just a little miracle to finally hear voices put here together after a decade! I was kind of envisioning Marco and Louise to have that classic, charming Brooklyn twang… but I like the voices chosen here too. Is it me or do they sound more Russian than Italian? By the way, the joke about Luigi calling Dominos was also unexpected and very funny... I wonder if it was by chance Peppino Spaghetti at that moment who gave them the pizza or something, and that Peppino Spaghetti doesn't have his own pizzeria for some reason and will work there, as an unexpected cameo (I know, it's not possible besides that the comic is already old and Pizza Tower only came out in 2023, but everything is possible in parallel universes and also one can dream and imagine, besides, it would be super funny if that really happened XD ).
