He just loves whoever Zelda is inside. Jokes aside... OoT is literally them just being all or nothing for one another the whole time since meeting as children. No matter how you chose to interpret their relationship (lovers or friends). He fights for truth and justice like the Great Deku Tree said but the Great Deku Tree literally instructed him to go find the princess and keep the evil from possessing the triforce. He meets Zelda as a child and quite literally follows her instructions to find the spiritual stones and then to use the ocarina, etc. He didn't have to do any of it. He believed her (Great Deku Tree aside), and literally went and conquered two dungeons on her request after knowing her for maybe ten minutes at most in game. He did so much just to see Hyrule and it's princess safe and happy/healthy again. And then of course he trusts Sheik. Might have considered him a friend (or more depending on how you see things). It wouldn't be surprising for him to see Zelda again and just.... not care about her/his gender as long as they're safe. They even stay friends for at least a bit of time before the events of Majora's Mask after she sends him back to prevent it all. So it's safe to say that Link at the very least enjoyed Zelda's company and cared for her as a friend after the events of OoT. Honestly I wouldn't be surprised if at some point he returned to Hyrule just to see her again and make sure she's okay. Regardless of what the theories might say. I think Link just really cares for her and you can't deny that he DOES show levels of devotion towards her. (Regardless of any romantic or platonic connotations behind it.) He also even says "I'm so confused" in that comic. Like he doesn't know with 100% certainty what's going on other than he gets to see the person he really cares about.
