Here Emet conflates "light" and "stasis" and also mentions "growth" in opposition. So it does line up with Urianger's Astral and Umbral lecture from earlier.

Yeah, but I still believe it is not always just the one Thing. It depends on the Polarity of it too. Like 2 Sides of a Coin. You have total "Stasis" as negative and "Change" as positive

Fun fact the light side of Zalera in FFXII is known as Emet-Selch, the Angel of Truth. And apparently Emet in Hebrew means truth. Neat etymology there. /ponder

"Every time it introduces a new mystery, it solves an old one, so you always get a payout." That's it, that's the reason why XIV has the "best" story. Although there's lots of threads left hanging, and some of them might hang for an expansion or more, they frequently do get picked up at a later point in time. There are still many new threads and mysteries even after Endwalker that we are hoping get answered.

Urianger continues to be an offscreen hero- suffering the pixies' nonsense for all that time, noooobody's getting a glamour or illusion past him now. Also: "Not that Thancred is the premier Ascian scientist" - dude had his mind nudged out of the way by Lahabrea when he got taken over. Someone as sneaky as Thancred likely raided every errant memory and scrap of info he could find while Lahabrea was busy. No surprise at all he has some inside intel.

A BIG take away from this cutscene was after slaying the first light warden heading down the path you believe will achieve your goals suddenly a high tanking Ascian shows up, exclaims the path your on has set his goals back, but then offers to assist you with your goal which would seem counterproductive of his own while also stating we dont know his motivation. This scene immediately sowed doubt in my path and made me question are the scions walking a path of ignorance.

I feel like I could comment "god I fucking love Shadowbringers" on ALL these videos, so just assume it at this point. This game's story really does warrant a second playthrough (or in this case, watch-others-play-it-through). Not that there was any major foreshadowing hinted here, but just that when you're not trying to figure out how everything fits together, you have more time to appreciate how fucking good the storytelling is.
